With the dust settling on Frozen Trail’s launch, figured I should finally update my bio.
Last month I joined @EmbarkStudios to lead the long-term vision for creators across the studio, @arcraidersgame, and @reachthefinals.
It’s been an awesome first month settling in among some very talented and ambitious people. Still a lot of cool stuff I want to try in the creator space, and here feels like the perfect home to do just that.

Honestly, a smart competitive play against reddit. A lot of knowledge is now centralised in these 'closed' spaces. Introducing that knowledge to search engines is going to help reach a much broader audience than Discord has traditionally had.
For games that run their discord servers, this has the potential to really focus information flow and control towards a space you own rather than having to rely on fan-managed spaces. It also helps you capture more casual players and push them into deeply engaging social spaces.
I think if Discord is trying to push into other hobby spaces, however, they're going to need to eventually review the current requirements to be a Discoverable Server. 1,000 members is a significant milestone, and growing a server without an existing platform is challenging.

PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.

ALT Last year, we updated how we count public views for Shorts to better capture how viewers watch on YouTube. Now, we’re aligning all other video formats to this same standard for consistency across the platform. Beginning on 8/24/2026, a view will be counted the moment a video begins to play—from the very first frame. This standard will now apply globally across all formats. Historically, we’ve used multiple view counting systems across different formats. However, we’ve heard that creators want to eliminate this metric confusion and accurately understand their true exposure, which is why we’re making this update!
