Everything being so fucked up can be traced back to talentless people wanting to be in the arts. 😭
Never forget that David Ellison's Skydance Media was originally created so he could be an actor. Skydance's first film was 'Flyboys' starring James Franco and... David Ellison. David and his daddy invested $60m to make Flyboys. It grossed $17m Here's a bit of David's acting:

if you love music, you should try Corus. it’s the most fun i’ve had on social media in a while.
Corus user u/melinda shares how she uses Corus to discover music in the "age of algorithms". Music (and all art) is better when it comes from people. We believe it literally sounds better when you know there is a person behind it who genuinely loves it and is connected to it, as opposed to not having anyone at all behind the recommendation. Thank you melinda for expressing it so clearly.

the difference between mid marketers / creatives and the best is their personal taste which is shaped by thousands of hours of learning and iteration but also by their media consumption, cultural background, curiosity, media and cultural literacy.
I think the best marketing training is being chronically online and culturally curious for years. Just look at kids on tiktok effortlessly going viral. That instinct is hard to teach and impossible to optimise into

The nimbys won, decisively. The millennials were a huge generation and they blocked housing for most of the fertility years. Forget the economy for a second, a lot of nimbys already are asking 'why no grandchildren'. Well your grandchildren went to propping up property values.
". . . half of the present birthrate decline is attributed to housing affordability, and . . . if costs had remained stable since 1990, 13 million more children would have been born through 2020."

tariffs are another example of how the right are even more economically illiterate than the left. it was always a stupid idea.
Wow. New analysis from NYFed shows more evidence that tariffs increased goods inflation! Every 1 point tariff increase raised consumer goods prices ~0.25% within a year. By Feb 2026, tariffs added 2.9 points to goods inflation. Without them, goods prices would have fallen.

this exactly - knowing the setup of an issue is so important and underrated b/c it determines what durably works and what doesn't.
The WORST part is that they appoint anti-intellectuals that mame things worse! Leaders who have no understanding of the system they want to redesign. Intellectual elites can be full of shit too but their attempts to understand some things do make a difference.

the most annoying thing about populists is that their whole personality is just being mad at things they don't fully understand. if you point that out, you're accused of being a shill, even if you agree with them on principle.

the time they spend arguing and virtue signaling about their half-baked ideas could have been spent researching the issue and coming up with better informed ideas
