There hasn’t been enough focus on what AZ Dems did right.
We united around lowering costs, investing in public education and protecting Arizona’s water. We didn’t have purity tests— we built a big tent and let candidates run their own races.

Wow, we did it.
I know that we are hungry here, hungry for a change that we can feel in our bones, that we can feel in our pocketbooks. And I am on a mission to deliver.
To make our healthcare more affordable.
To keep our family farms running.
To fund our public schools.
To bring down the goddam price of gas.
This is a victory for all of US. For anyone who is struggling to pay your rent or mortgage, drowning in medical debt, worrying if you’ll have to sell the farm. Help is coming.
Thank you to my incredible team for leaving it all on the field, to my kind hearted family and friends, to the coalition we built across the political spectrum to make this happen.
And thank you to @derrickvanorden for his years of service to this country in Congress and in the Navy.
The real work begins now.
Hold me accountable to campaign promises. Reach out when our office opens. Stay connected.

This is an insane ad by Kansas Senator Roger Marshall, and when I first saw it, I thought it reeked of involvement by the candidate or the candidate’s spouse.
A classic case of a candidate feeling embattled and not feeling defended enough — it’s at this point that many candidates for office make the most reckless decisions.
And there’s no way professional Senate campaign staff or the NRSC would run such an ad.
And it turns out it’s much worse.
Per The New York Times, Marshall went around his campaign staff, hired his own film crew, then delivered the ad to his campaign and tried to get them to buy airtime for it. When they wouldn’t, he started passing the ad around to others, and that’s how it got posted on Twitter.
For those who aren’t aware, when Marshall was a practicing physician, he filed hundreds of lawsuits against patients. Some of those patients were arrested when they didn’t show up for court dates; others had their wages garnished.
Marshall frequently charged 18 percent interest on their bills.
Marshall’s billing practices were also first reported by the New York Times.

Anna Paulina Luna voted to fund the exact Pentagon programs that went on to pay her husband’s drone company $37 million. This is an egregious level of corruption coming from someone who tried to build their brand on draining the swamp.
Voting to fund programs your own family profits from is an abuse of power and a betrayal of the people she was elected to represent. We demand the House Ethics Committee open an investigation immediately.

"I happen to think that actually Kansas has a strong economy. Price of gas is an issue, but we got a really strong economy right here"

MAYOR OF GREAT BEND SAYS ROGER MARSHALL LIVES IN FLORIDA!!!!
Replying to @davidhudnall
The mayor of Great Bend:
“Look, it’s quite obvious he doesn’t live here anymore. He lives in Florida. He has a little hunting lodge south of Great Bend in Stafford County. And I think that’s an issue for people ... He’s become disconnected with a lot of people around here.”

Wisconsin remains a purple bellwether and @RebeccaforWI is being heavily outspent by billionaires who want to thank Van Orden for their tax giveaways. If any race needs more resources to finish the job, it’s this one.
NEW: Senior Democrats are tempering their expectations about how big of a House majority they might win, as both parties see a tightening map.
Comes after a barrage of GOP spending.

The labor and delivery unit in Menomonie closed, hurting expecting mothers like Rebecca.
Then, Derrick Van Orden voted for massive cuts to Medicare and Medicaid — putting our hospitals at even greater risk of closing or reducing these vital services.
I'll always fight to put people first and keep our hospitals running.
