I was invited by @NewtroArts as a member of a group of artists tasked with curating a selection of Latin American artists from the Tezos network. Artists curating Artists. My selection is: Moranicol, Mafin, Nionio, Ivan Hugo, and Marietta.
I wanted to make a selection of digital creators linked to volume, to digital 3D. I initially selected the artists more out of affinity and friendship or closeness than for any other reason. But as I began to search through their works, I realized, or interpreted, or glimpsed a characteristic that I found particularly interesting. A way of approaching volume or space beyond (or closer to) the possibilities of the “real” physical world. A sculpture, an architecture of emotions or sensations. Something that I myself seek in my work.

This event marks the culmination of nearly four years of building culture on web3: a celebration hosted by Newtro Arts, featuring 150+ curated artists, representing the global South, grounded in Latin American cultural and collective work. ❤️🔥
Culture here breathes as a structure that holds a constant possibility of transforming, diversifying, and becoming, through dialogical exchanges that emerge as free interactions between artists, media, and communities.
The exhibition will also include a special Art Residency showcase by @BosqueGracias, featuring artworks and memories created throughout their residency experiences in Patagonia.

First prototype of my generative PFP project! 👽
I’ve been working on this project for the past 3 months, and I’m super excited to share the first test of an AI model trained with half of my 3D characters, born from manual drawing and digital sculpting.
These characters are part of the visual DNA of the project.
