You no even lie
Those days
They see you as a wayward child to buy food outside while there's food at home
I don't really know much about Akwa Ibom or Calabar , but let me speak on behalf of my Igbo people.
We Igbos don't really believe in buying cooked food. We prefer to prepare our own meals.
One reason I think the Yorubas have thrived more in the food business is that they are more accustomed to buying prepared food rather than always cooking at home.
Growing up, our Yoruba neighbours would give their children ₦20 every morning to buy food before going to school. Our parents, on the other hand, rarely did that. They made sure we had food prepared at home before leaving for school.
Years ago, if you opened a commercial food business in the East, you might struggle to make sales because people weren't accustomed to buying cooked food. Almost everyone prepared their own meals at home.
So, I think this difference in food culture is one of the reasons the Yorubas gained an advantage in the food business.
People that went on big brother will be regretting now 😂😂😂😂

I don’t know if this has gotten to Twitter but I just saw a video breakdown and the person (A Nigerian) that bought the franchise to establish Love Island in Nigeria is a very important individual in Tinubu’s campaign.

You might be a Doctor, and I respect your achievement, but you don’t really have sense like that.
You are childish and silly.

Thank you so much. 🙏
I sincerely wish this didn’t turn this sour on the timeline, especially among those who are supposed to be learned in the field.
I thought the battle was against the “banger boys” who have made a career out of ridiculing women and women’s reproductive health.
I would have expected our male doctors to stand with their female counterparts and help educate these young men on the subject matter. But to my surprise, being a trending banger themselves was more important than their career.
These are two major Nigerian newspapers, more than a decade apart, still describing pregnancy in the light of a death sentence.
This has lingered for so long!
In 2026, the Ondo State Government is still saying, “Pregnancy must not be a death sentence.” That alone tells you we are still struggling with the reality of pregnancy being a death sentence for many women.
**The struggle is real!**
After all I saw displayed on the timeline today, I sincerely hope a policy will come into place to ensure that part of the training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology focuses on understanding women and their mind.
There is no way you can effectively treat a woman as a man when you are so disconnected from her mind, her thought process and her very being.
I pray our nation, Nigeria keeps getting better and maternal and child mortality becomes a thing of the past.
I am so proud of the doctors who have held their ground defending the ethics of their profession.
Especially the women. They have attempted to silence them so many times but enough is enough.
I’ve never been more proud of them than I am today.
