The LAPD murdered Keenan Anderson. A beloved high school English teacher and father who FLAGGED THEM DOWN FOR HELP after a car accident. He was a threat to no one. He needed help and it cost him his life. The LAPD must be held accountable for this at all costs. #KeenanAnderson

Henry Berg-Brousseau, a transgender rights advocate & deputy press secretary for politics for @HRC, has died. He was 24.
🧵 Here's a little bit about him & why his life - and death - matter:

ALT a photo of Henry Berg-Brousseau, a white person with stunning blue eyes, thick eyebrows and a wide smile, with green pushed back hair. He wears a white button up shirt, black suit jacket, and black bow tie and stands in front of a white step and repeat adorned with the blue box and yellow equal sign that is the Human Rights Campaign logo.

Jon interviewed Leslie Rutledge, Arkansas Attorney General, about why her state banned gender-affirming care for minors - ignoring the guidelines of major medical organizations and taking the decision out of parents’ hands. Watch the full interview on @AppleTVPlus
I can’t believe it’s been a year since I spoke to @InStyle about my cancer journey during Covid. My diagnosis was a shock; little did I know I’d be undergoing chemo during a global pandemic.

I believe we can end cancer as we know it and even cure cancers once and for all.
“These mundane choices, travel schedules, and breaks in routine that dictated whether someone lived or died on 9/11 belie the structure and order we try so hard to give to our lives.”

Two weeks ago, I had four precious 12-year-old girls, including my daughter, with me at the county fair. They were getting blue Icees and corndogs for the walk to the car and ride home. (1/21)

On stats alone, Serena Williams would be the greatest of all time. But when you consider everything not in a stat line—the lily white world of tennis, the brush with death, winning while pregnant—her legacy transcends sport. We’ve been so, so very lucky. A champion for all times.
Great to see @olreign + @intentionalist_ continue their collaboration to encourage fans to #SpendLikeItMatters and support diverse local businesses through everyday decisions about where we eat, drink & shop. #NationwideImpactAward

Meaningful trans inclusion is a policy choice. 🏳️🌈 As @gp_jls shared w/ HRuprise in a recent fireside chat, transgender employees need more than correct name & pronoun usage at work. Trans employees need to be genuinely respected, protected & valued, with policies to back them up.
Layoffs have the ability to damage your company culture for years to come. I've learned that there is no one right way to do it, but there are a LOT of wrong ways to do it, as we've seen in headlines recently. I want to help you get it right.

It seems that layoff announcements just keep coming. And guess what? They're not over yet.
I was proud to collaborate with my partners @CreativeCorey and @DainaMiddleton to write about how to establish layoff practices rooted in inclusion and belonging:
