To the Black women standing on the right side of history: You show up for a country that rarely shows up for you. Despite the relentless scapegoating, the anti-DEI attacks, the misogynoir, and being expected to carry the weight alone, you stood on the front lines once again and defended democracy.
You lead with power, principle, and an unmatched commitment to freedom, even when other communities fail to reciprocate, and even when people within our own community trade solidarity for proximity to power, self-enrichment, and Whiteness.
