Mental health in Pakistani culture. We need to tackle these stigmas RT #endstigma @RespectYourself @StampStigma @MHBloggers @EndTheStigma
Hey guys I know I’m never here so I apologise in advance but I need a favour 🙈 is there any org or person willing to do a talk regarding either health or mental health to our ethnic minority colleagues group in Leeds? It could be via Teams happy to do either way :) #hello
Today marks 7 years to the day that I fled abuse! my day of freedom!
I never thought I would be in the position I am today!
There’s so many things we take for granted but I will never take my freedom for granted again! I will enjoy every day to the fullest
Clearing out the last bits! .. the last day we have in this home! End of an era
So many amazing memories in this home
The first place we ever set up home together and the place we had our wedding reception! The growth as a couple was amazing
#happynewyear
It’s been a hectic couple of weeks! Felt very overwhelmed but blessed to say we finally moved into our first ever home! I never thought I’d be saying that with the amount of times I’ve moved since fleeing abuse but wow I’m saying that! #newhome
It’s my birthday whoop whoop and spending today doing so much fun activities! Thank god I married a games developer. #BirthdayCelebration
Victoria Climbie would have been 33 years old today! Her murder was a shocking reminder of how the system failed her. Starved, beaten, scared and scolded to death by family! I remember this story growing up and it still upsets me thinking about how much she went though at just 8!

To all those celebrating this beautiful festival: Happy Diwali
May this festival of lights, fill your life with the glow of happiness ❤️

I shared my journey with you about life after abuse and the effects it has on one’s mental health and I will say it was the best thing to happen for me! I became more in tune with myself and it made me find things to help me manage my #anxiety and #PTSD #MentalHealthMatters
#WorldMentalHealthDay2024 makes me reflect back on my first ever video trying to tackle the barriers in South Asian communities: the more we talk openly about mental health: it breaks down those walls and people are more likely to seek support #MentalHealthAwareness

I’m not trying to be a wimp, but what is going to take a long time to heal in my heart personally is the videos of parents with their kids screaming “Pakis out!” In the streets of England and Ireland.
2024…what a disgrace man.

I wonder what it feels like to never have experienced racism
I can’t imagine how carefree that feeling must be
If you feel safe enough to stand against the protests then come together this Saturday in Wakefield! It will be great to see all communities coming together @WakeExpress @NevilleSouthall spread the word guys @RespYourself @SRTRC_England @AntiRacismDay
Strength in unity! We need more of this! Yes as Pakistani woman I can forever talk about the countless racism I’ve faced in 36 years of my life! But it’s also more powerful seeing different cultures come together. Powerful video: the raw emotions #FarRightRacists #Muslimtwitter
It’s sad that my husband is frightened for my safety even going into work! He knows that being visibly brown/black means you’re a target for the far right! The world needs more love&understanding; this is coming from two people coming together regardless of cultural differences
Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating ❤️ #EidSpirit and today also marks our first wedding anniversary ❤️since I’ve met this beautiful man I’ve fallen in love with him more and more every day ❤️ here’s to hopefully more happy memories and years
