I wouldn’t recommend 20k… and most 8k max. Any more and your rigging or your clients using the experience will lag. It’s always better to optimize if you have a model exceeding 2000 layers, and the best you can do with that is by not going bigger than 8k canvas size.

ちなみにVtuberのLive2D用イラストとかだと長辺20000pixel超える事がほとんど。 なぜならほぼ顔がどアップで画面に映り続けるのでそれぐらいのサイズがないと保たない

Rough animation, to tie downs, to clean up, to colour, those are all usually separated in the industry and done by different artists- doing all that- on top of at a higher frame rate, that’s 24 drawings in a second (or 12 if you half that). Wanna learn more? Ask actual artists.
