Every day hour minute if you wish is a opportunity to start over...for me that was a transformative lesson..accountability in its most pure form. Stay safe out there tonight, have fun, perhaps find a meeting....
We do recover...so many ways to get there but this is the one that worked for me. I can't explain the gratitude and love for the simple recipe for sobriety that I found. It provides options and solutions and embraces a God of your understanding not mine

A lot of people were frustrated with David Eby, so I'm not entirely surprised by the election results.
But if the BC Conservatives start selling off ICBC, privatizing healthcare, pandering to culture-war bs, and passing legislation that attacks human rights...
Then I expect serious push back from Britisih Columbians.

I have even in the depths of my addiction been a liberal thinker. I grew up in a very conservative bigoted home,I saw what prejudice & intolerance looked and sounded like. Anyone different(not white) was judged. It made me a strong supporter of equality
I am content today...Taking care of myself is my way of staying healed. For me it works. Whats amazing? I have choices today. I did not when I was "out there" I am happy for those who find happiness with a partner its just something I don't need anymore
