The pedestrianisation of Oxford Street is a godsend for cabbies. They can combine two favourite activities. Taking tourists on the most convoluted route to Selfridges to rack up a fare while having an extra 15 minutes to rant about Sadiq Khan.

People moaning about the pedestrianisation of Oxford St clearly don't walk in London much because it's really not a walker friendly city. Not enough crossing and pavements are too often parking places for cars and bikes. Walking is the most environmentally friendly way to travel!
