ALT Mae’r cap ar fudd-daliadau i ddau blentyn yn bolisi a allai, os gaiff ei sgrapio, godi hanner miliwn o blant o dlodi. Yn bresennol, mae’n cosbi plant am ddim byd ond cael siblingiaid, ar adeg pan fo llawer o bobl yn ei chael hi’n anodd cael dau benllinyn ynghyd. Credwn na ddylai fod gwrthryfel heddiw, gan y dylai’r blaid fod wedi sefyll gydag undebau a llawer o aelodau Llafur yn erbyn tlodi plant a bod wedi ymrwymo i sgrapio’r polisi yn Araith y Brenin.

ALT The two-child benefit cap is a policy that, if scrapped, could immediately lift half a million children out of poverty. It currently punishes children simply for having siblings, at a time when many struggle to make ends meet. We believe that today there should not have been a rebellion, because the party should have stood alongside unions and many Labour members against child poverty and committed to scrapping the policy in the King's Speech.
