READ THIS THREAD. @johnofa hits the nail on the head. Suck it up and pay your taxes guys!! We must have less inequality. We must have tax justice.

1. I've been fortunate to benefit from tech wealth. I'm not even close to being a billionaire, but I could easily afford to pay the wealth tax – and any billionaire certainly can – without the slightest effect on my lifestyle. I support a wealth tax at my wealth level also.

A few years ago, Gloria and I had a great conversation for my podcast. I wanted to reshare it since it's really worth a listen. ♥️

ALT I had a great time on the CBC IDEAS podcast discussing the unprecedented wealth and power of billionaires. Did you know? The world’s 12 richest billionaires currently hold more wealth than the bottom 50 percent of people on Earth. Within a decade, it’s predicted that the world will have at least five trillionaires. The episode is part one of a four-part documentary series called The Billionaire Age. Have a listen: https://app.magellan.ai/listen_links/pHeeEk

Want to know what patriotism actually looks like? Just ask @abigaildisney, who supports raising taxes on super rich people like herself.
Our members are clear: They want a rich, stable, and free country. That begins with an economy that ensures it.
Oprah, if you are concerned about privacy I totally understand. But I bet you could buy out the entire first class cabin and board last for less than the round trip on your own plane. This isn't rocket science. Rocket science is for other billionaires. thecooldown.com/green-busine…

Our member @abigaildisney has a message for leaders at @wef in Davos: Extreme wealth threatens global stability and our shared future.
That’s why Abby and nearly 400 millionaires from around the world signed our open letter calling on leaders to tax the super rich.

When asked if there were any restraints on his powers, Trump said, “My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me. I don’t need international law.”
We cannot disregard his words as anything other than pure authoritarianism. nytimes.com/live/2026/01/08/…

Families are struggling while extreme wealth for the ultra-rich skyrockets.
The time is now: Tax extreme wealth, close tax loopholes, and demand workers receive a livable wage.

When we first announced our Moral Ambition Fellowship at Harvard, some people pushed back: ‘Why focus on privileged kids? Aren’t they just future sell-outs?’
I get the question. But what we’ve found is the opposite.
Most students genuinely want to do good, they’re just funneled into BS-jobs by companies with marketing and recruiting budgets the size of small nations. When you’re 20 and unsure what to do with your life, the path of least resistance is hard to resist.
That’s why we’re here at The School for Moral Ambition: to give them a different idea of what success can look like. Making billionaires pay their fair share in taxes. Preventing the next pandemic. Tackling climate change. Doing something actually worth remembering, instead of spending a lifetime filling spreadsheets to make rich shareholders even richer.
A new generation is hungry for moral ambition. We just need to open the door.
JV apparently only believes conspiracy theories "that are true." That's like saying I only believe in fairies that are real. Does he honestly think that makes anyone feel more confidence?
Right from the moral center of the right wing. Great company you folks are keeping.
All of you saying @POTUS should delete this are tone deaf!
Are these words nice and fuzzy? No.
But this man has been almost killed because of the rhetoric that people like Rob Reiner has spewed.
Rob Reiner would be celebrating alongside many Hollywood elites if it were potus who was killed…manny mocked POTUs when he was shot at in Butler with some saying “to find someone with better aim next time”.
