so many things to say about this story that I can't even articulate them all. Please read it! Deaf people have many barriers to learning, especially in the sciences, that hearing people don't realize. I learned a lot writing it. If you are a hearing person, you should learn too.
A lack of signs for many scientific terms impedes deaf people’s entry into the sciences. Deaf scientists are trying to lower these barriers by developing more scientific American Sign Language signs. Learn how they’re expanding ASL's scientific vocabulary: ow.ly/m2iT50Fu2mY
