One cool thing about working on a web framework is that the tools you use to build a feature might eventually adopt the feature itself. 5.5 years later, in this case.

Sorry for libbing out on here for the first time in a while, but Republicans in the Obama era were so unbelievably annoying, I would accept five consecutive woke 1s before going back to that for a moment nitter.cf/jmart/status/211515411…
The Cheesecake lunge is one part phantom limb stuff - 2026 version of Obama on price of arugula - and one part living off land’ism Until Obama teed up the that line, the most consistent and reliable messaging from Repubs was on the presence of good looking men

Republicans nowadays are also annoying but so is everyone else so it cancels out more

Is it sufficiently ambitious?

The unfolded iPhone Duo is my favorite device ever. The folded iPhone Duo makes me so anxious, for reasons I can't yet articulate.

I love the weird squat dimensions of the outer screen. Instead of folding it into a chonky brick, I wish I could snap it in half and stick it back together.

"Synthesize all the feedback I've given you so far into a rubric from which the feedback could be derived, then re-apply it to everything" GOATed workflow (burns tokens fast, though)

I get so giddy every time I outsmart Opus 5.5. Gotta enjoy this feeling while it lasts.

Feature request for every agent harness: switch between the threads for me based on what most requires my attention. I'm tired of hunting for what to decide on next!

The Projects feature in Claude Code is trending in this direction but in practice I still end up manually switching between threads constantly. But I can see the vision.

Reordering the list is great but it's not enough, I want it to literally navigate to the thread without my intervention, like one of those DocuSign interfaces that zooms you to the next signature line nitter.cf/antisymmetrics/status/…

t3 chat reorder the list. Is this the feature you are talking about? Or a shortcut that allows to switch/toggle between conversations?

I just discovered that v8's JIT doesn't inline Atomics. It uses the generic implementation every time. a[1] → 2 instructions Atomics.load(a, i) → ~130 (!!!) Brutal 😫 Anyone who can help me get this fixed? Happy (to have an agent) send a patch!

A decade ago, after struggling on a hard problem in React Fiber, I spent several days designing and iterating on a fuzz tester that eventually uncovered a bunch of subtle cases that helped me converge on a solution. Today, a fuzz tester simply appeared in my codebase. Poof.

Working in large established codebases is one of the hardest things to learn as a software engineer. You can’t practice it beforehand (no, open source does not give you the same experience).

You Can See Everything: The hype is justified. Just go see it fresh, don’t read any reviews that might spoil the experience. All I’ll say is I felt every minute of its 3 hour runtime, but when it was over I wished it would keep going.

Ahead of Next.js 16.4, I worked on applying the upcoming features across v0 and validating our new Partial Prefetching optimizer Skill in a real app. The post includes before-and-after videos of the navigation experience and walks through the caching, prefetching, and production checks behind the refactor. Excited to finally share it!
We used a coding agent with Next.js 16.4's new prefetching controls and Skill to improve v0's navigation experience at no added cost. The loop: • Capture navigation with 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚗𝚝() • Define the target UI in the test • Refactor until it passes nextjs.org/blog/improving-na…

If your app is mostly static, but also mixes in user specific UI (e.g. a shopping cart), Next.js now has a really great solution for mixing both on the same page without surprise server costs. nextjs.org/docs/app/guides/k…

I'm excited about <ViewTransition> in React but it's difficult for me to recommend because the web API has so many rough edges. E.g. scrolling during a transition is flat-out broken (and deemed a "wontfix" AFAICT) Any browser friends who can help? github.com/w3c/csswg-drafts/…

Turns out scoped View Transitions will help, thanks for the reply @jaffathecake nitter.cf/acdlite/status/2102443…
This improves the situation significantly, can't wait for that to ship more widely. Will integrate into React ASAP. Thanks!
