Really! Why the fuck didn't you build prisons before, why did you fuck up the criminal system and the probation service? 14 fucking years of your vandalism. You disgust me!
If you commit a violent crime, we will lock you up. We will build 50,000 new prison places. We will end Labour’s early-release schemes. We will put law and order back on the side of the public.

In 2015 David Cameron privatised the National Fostering Agency, it's now being paid £160m a year straight to a New Jersey tax haven to manage the fostering of just 2,616 children A tax free profit of £61,000 per child, and they don't even provide any care, that's the fosters job

They spent FOURTEEN years destroying the fabric of society, then they have the cheek to criticise Labour for trying to clean up their mess. Never forget that EVERYTHING that's broken in this country is the fault of the Tories...so blame them, not the ones trying to fix it.

Amazon generated £29 billion in UK revenue in 2024. They paid £18.7 million in corporation tax. That's 0.06% of revenue. They count VAT collected from YOUR purchases as part of their own tax contribution. Meanwhile Rachel Reeves raised taxes on working people to fill a £22 billion hole. A hole Amazon could fill twice over. $AMZN

In 1979-80 the cost of local authority elderly residential care was £63 per week, which was 58% of an average wage. In 2026 it is £1298, or 184% of an average wage. Privatisation of care is basically a letter of marque. Licence for the depraved to prey on the desperate.

Billionaires making their fortunes in the UK, then packing up and leaving when it’s time to contribute a little more back to the country that helped make them rich. There’s something pretty disgusting about having more than you could ever spend and still wanting to pay less.

When I was at university we had to write an essay about Starbucks and their tax avoidance. This was in 2012. Essentially they pay a ‘Royalty and Licence fee’ to a non UK company each year. This strips out their profits and enables them to avoid almost all corporation tax. I thought I would check whether things have changed since I wrote the essay back in 2012. This is the Corporation Tax paid each financial year: 2021: £5.4m 2022: £4.5m 2023: £7.2m 2024: £0m 2025 -£13.7m Total: £3.4m Royalty and License Fees: 2021: £26.5m 2022: £34.4m 2023: £40.4m 2024: £40.4m 2025: £43.2m Total: £184.9m Assuming a 25% corporation tax rate would be £46.22m in taxes brought in. If these loopholes were closed off, maybe our personal taxes would be reasonable.

The ‘Iran War’ - is barely 8 months old, but in that time our own homegrown green energy sources (the wind and the sun) have saved us nearly £6 billion. To those who bang on about the short term cost of turning some windmills off some of the time (you know who you are) - I say stick that in your pipe…:) buff.ly/BIot99A

🚨 Iliman Ndiaye might be football’s unluckiest man. 😭 Everton docked points, Senegal stripped of the AFCON title, and now Man City found guilty. Three teams, three huge controversies. 💀⚠️

Freedom of Movement wasn't about immigration. It was YOUR freedom. To live in Paris. Work in Berlin. Retire in Spain. Study in Rome. Fall in love in Prague. We didn't take Freedom of Movement away from Europeans. We took it away from ourselves.

A slightly painful reminder of why the NHS matters I ended up in A&E at the Whittington for much more of my Thursday night than I planned after dislocating my thumb playing football. There was a long wait, an X-ray and eventually someone popping it back into place. Having time to sit there and think, once I was past my initial frustration of waiting, was a reminder of why, despite the challenges it faces, we should still feel incredibly proud of the NHS. You walk in because something has gone wrong and people are there to help you. Doctors, nurses and staff working through the night and dealing with people with far more patience than I fear I have! We hear a lot about what is wrong with the NHS. That means we risk forgetting how extraordinary the basic idea still is and how incredible the people who keep it going are. When you need medical help, it is there for you, regardless of what you earn. That is something pretty amazing and worth protecting, improving and being proud of. A massive thank you to everyone at the Whittington who looked after me last night. P.S. I’ll spare you the photo. Nobody needs that.
