this is like getting upset that a public library only owns one copy of your book that multiple people can read

am I too woke of a fic writer to be a little conflicted about fics being downloaded to personal drives without the author’s knowledge and shared/read without the author gaining any site engagment or is this something I should brush off and get over /gen

one engagement to download = one sale. someone sharing a download so multiple people can read it in cases where they otherwise wouldn't be able to = multiple people being able to check out and read the book that they otherwise wouldn't be able to

Hopefully this helps. It’s not much, but here’s all the fics I had downloaded. Grouped by fandom and there’s a folder where you can upload for each fandom. drive.google.com/drive/folde… Enjoy💕 #ao3 #AO3 #AO3Down #fanfic #fanfiction

this isn't my usual audience but i will make a post here to reach anyone looking for these: i have 87 irondad/spiderson fics on my drive, some of them are series of several parts. most are long multi-chapter fics. have fun! drive.google.com/drive/folde…

We await our GLORIOUS WIFE’S return from battle 🫡 To honor her, we shall: - Finish our Kinktober fics (it’s still October for 2 more days!) - Prep for the annual November writing ritual formerly known by a name we do not speak. - Brainstorm new ideas with our mutuals. - Finally write that 200k slow burn we’ve been threatening to write since 2017. 🙃 - Revisit our 47 WIPs and maybe start a 48th. - 🕯️ Light a candle for the brave volunteers, who are fighting battles beyond comprehension. 🕯️ - Remember that kudos may be unavailable today, but the bonds forged in the trenches of writing are eternal!!! Stay strong, friends. She will return to us.
