Women who point out gender bias and sexism in a society where 65% of political podcasters are men, 75% of lawmakers are men, and 90% of Fortune 1000 CEOs are men are crybabies who need to be in therapy, according to …. progressive men.

Also, Ken has never actually managed a large scale campaign — being the ED of a party doesn’t count. The work is drastically different. The autopsy report was embarrassing, should have known then.

Well said. Bullying is never the answer. Being aggressive and mean online is not a winning strategy long term. I have felt this way ever since 2016 when I worked for @HillaryClinton. The bullying from Bernie Bros was something that I’ll never forget. And I was just a kid.
Something I noticed with the Mamdani campaign is that there were clearly staffers directing online influencers to not go after Dem detractors. Anytime I expressed a concern - eg, his public position on guns - a delegate reached out to me offline to discuss. Not only is Mamdani affable offline, but his vibe online is light, too. That’s different from some DSA/Fight Agency candidates whose strategy is clearly to make questioning or opposing them so toxic that you stay silent. I don’t think this approach pays off over the longterm because A) you create resentment among needed supporters post-election, and B) you can’t bully people into voting for you. Candidates are still trying to figure out how to leverage paid influencer support, but i think we’ll decide ultimately that persuading always beats berating.

His answer is so real, so raw, and no BS. We need more of this in politics. We probably don’t deserve him 🤷🏻‍♀️
" How could that not be on your mind when you're thinking about where you fit in and whether your highest and best use is politics?" @PeteButtigieg talks with @Timodc about whether he's thinking about running for public office again and what's informing his decision.

It is a carnival of corruption. Congressional stock trading. First Family crypto schemes. A secondhand jumbo jet. These are not academic concerns. They hurt all of us - and they are related to the reasons we can't have common-sense outcomes that most Americans actually agree on.

Lindsey Graham: Dead. Mitch McConnell: Probably Dead. Donald Trump: Monthly Trips to Walter Reed 92 Year Old Sen @ChuckGrassley (R-IA): Alive, farming and 3rd in line to the Presidency.

The Mitch McConnell situation is starting to sound like when a con artist pretends an elderly relative is still alive so they can keep cashing their Social Security checks, only it’s the entire GOP doing it so they can keep cutting Social Security.

If we’re asking for proof of life videos, maybe that should be a reason an 84 year old should not be in the U.S. Senate. I’m talking about @SenMcConnell but… Hint hint @BernieSanders.

I publicly and privately urged the last administration to address the public’s concerns with the former president’s health. I’m calling on Sen. McConnell to do the same and provide voters an update on his own health. Let’s end the crazy speculation. Just tell us what’s going on.

“They’re taking it all away from us.” An asshole to the very end. Good riddance.
PLATNER SAYS HE’S DROPPING OUT of the Maine Senate race: “We believe that for the movement to continue, it can’t be me. And for that reason, we are suspending campaign operations.”

In the end, Platner chose as his closing act a page right out of @realDonaldTrump's tawdry playbook. Deny. Deflect. Refuse responsibility. Play the martyr; slime your accusers. Platner built an admirable movement. But there was nothing admirable about the way he said goodbye.

His 11 minute video was something else to say the least. To blame the “establishment” and take ZERO responsibility for anything is out of this world. I have truly never seen anything like it in my 15 years in this biz. Let’s never speak his name again and believe women. Period.
Breaking News: Graham Platner, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Maine, suspended his campaign under intense pressure from all corners of his party after a woman accused him of rape. Follow live updates. nyti.ms/4vdJdLn

Abdul are you having trouble stringing these two sentences together? I believe women. Graham Platner should drop out.
Credible allegations of sexual assault cannot be ignored. Voters in Maine deserve a choice for US Senate that doesn’t force them to make a moral compromise between sexual violence or corporate servitude.

I’m sorry but “we are taking time to reflect on the best path forward” is not an option on the table. Either it’s false and you campaign with vigor or it’s true and you get out / apologize to everyone you let down.

So how many women need to be told they are liars for you to get the hint? Despicable. We have 7 days for him to drop out so @MaineDems can replace him by July 22nd. If your goal is to defeat Susan Collins, maybe drop out ASAP. 🫠
