Found a great addition to our pool noodle tag and shark activity. #adaptedpe #PhysEd #AdaptedPE #sharkweek2021 expanded. Party City purchase.
Mouse Trap. @OPENPhysEd field day game #AdaptedPE Ss use a ramp Ss can toss balls to knock down cone to trap Leprechaun in basket. Trap dinosaurs, turkeys, rabbits, villains. Disco light & flashing clip on helps VI Ss see target. Dollar Tree has gnomes for every holiday. #PhysEd
Nicole McCoy is the MacGyver of APE. Brilliant uses of gadgets and gizmos to create exactly what her students need in order to succeed and have fun doing it. #AdaptedPE #PhysEd.
Had an idea on paper and happy with the way it turned out. Played badminton for the first time with my Multiple Disability class and definitely wanted a way to rally back and forth between two students using switches. PVC for the win again ✊🏼 #AdaptedPE #PVCinAPE #AssistiveTech
Loving this cross curriculum activity.

🦀 Crab & Frog 🐸 Throw Box📦
Ss learn about the animals habitat and diet from information on the side, then work on grasp/release or throwing at the targets! #AdaptedPE
So many people ask me How do I make this? Well, thank you @NMcCoy_APE for her latest How To video. #AdaptedPE #PhysEd
Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is more PVC 🤓
Here’s a pretty easy PVC baseball batting device that utilizes a pulling motion from SS. Hoping to get more PVC how to videos going soon!

You can learn to adapt for others
You can learn to communicate with others.
It’s not only for those whose family members need it
It’s for everyone within your life you encounter.
And you will encounter someone in your life

Yesterday kyra and I had the privilege of trying the #huckleberryhiking chair! This is a game changer, and so easy to use. We can’t wait to order one and hit the trails. Thanks for letting us try it #accessibleadventures
#dollartree items made brain thinking 1-puppets to attach to pool noodle for tag 2-paper plate puzzles or create faces for “shots made in” or relays. 3- inflatables for target games & skill work, slalom poles 4-stacking pumpkins build a pumpkin patch #adaptedpe #physed
As many of my wonderful PE/APE friends have returned back to school around the USA, I can finally say “I’m on vacation!” 6 weeks of ESY-extended school year APE is done!!! Told the kids today…see you in September enjoy!!!
My #adaptedpe student thinks he’s so funny. He loves to trick me by raising my stool. Yes I’m short. 🤪🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣

A present from a student today made me smile from ear to ear. Her mom told me she typed her message to me herself. What a beautiful portrait of me!!!! Her message touched my heart too!!!!! Perfect place for it on my desk. Love my students. #AdaptedPE #PhysEd
Shark week is coming up. Inflatable baby float from Five Below and cat fish toys from Dollar Tree. Feed the Shark. #adaptedpe #physed I love inflatables because I just let out air & store in a bin until next season.
Croquet for week 1 in ESY. Large wickets. Indoors or outdoors. Differentiated equipment. #adaptedpe #physed @SHAPENJ
Extended School Year ESY began this week marking my 25th year of teaching #adaptedpe #physed #health @SHAPENJ
Shark Week is first week of ESY. Time for Set up our Beach Blanket Relay and Feeding Time & Chum Bucket Tossing Activity. Shark Tag. #adaptedpe #physed
Punchballs ready for ESY. Heavier than a traditional balloon so good for flight striking activities too. Noodle Tetherball. #adaptedpe #physed
My $3 @Target find. Write-on building blocks. As we do an activity my #adaptedpe Ss can put the ✔️block next to it. Scheduling made fun. #physed
Since we are building up, so does order of activities goes up, too. If need Velcro to side of block to build of up to down is needed
I love garage sales. My littles are going to be so happy for the additions to outside activities. #adaptedpe #physed $10 well spent. It was a great way I filled up my backyard for my own kids growing up.
