VOCAL Africa was in Mathare following up on the abduction of Vincent Isigi, alias “Sultan,” a youth leader and ODM official in Mlango Kubwa.
According to a witness, Vincent dropped off his friends on his motorbike on the evening of Tuesday, 27 October 2026, before heading home. Neighbors living along the street where the abduction reportedly took place said a black Toyota Prado had been parked nearby for approximately 20 minutes, allegedly waiting for him.
At around 10:00 p.m., Vincent arrived and was bundled into the vehicle. His motorbike was left behind with the key still in the ignition, alongside the bread and milk he had bought for his family.
On Wednesday, 28 October, family members and friends searched various police stations and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) offices around Obama in an attempt to establish his whereabouts. At Obama Police Station in Saika, officers stated that Vincent was not in their custody.

Today, we engaged with student leaders from universities across the country.
I began my leadership journey at the University of Nairobi, and the opportunities I received there played a significant role in shaping the leader I am today.
As we look ahead to 2027, we encourage more young people to step forward and take up leadership positions. Join a political party, participate in its activities, and be part of the decision-making processes that shape our country's future.
The future belongs to a generation that is ready to lead.
