If you want to be sad about a legacy org going away, be sad about Complexity.
It was still run by the OG owner and was one of the best-run and benevolent teams in esports.
The LARP test is whether you are more sad about EG or coL.

With the recent news, I will be LFT going forward and looking for a dedicated project where I can use my skills as an aggressive and vocal rifler. I am available full time and able to relocate. To get in touch with me dm or add me on steam

football federations should do anything in their power to secure such talents to play for their countries. Elmas is obviously a Turk, a Macedonian Turk who was born and lived here (Skopje)
if he is in Turkey, talking to a Turk media in Turkish, regarding his affection towards the country where his ancestors are from, about their federation that rightfully approached him, what should he say? that he didn’t want to join?
as for the potential blockade, there’s no such thing as a 2 year ban, not according to FIFA rules. if a person threatened him (completely possible) then it’s just sad. the way I see it, he wanted to play, he was ready since the beginning. Fatih Terim wanted him for the u21s, Igor Angelovski offered him a world cup qualifier with the seniors against Spain
he chose Macedonia and is always giving everything he has, a true example for the rest of the group despite being the star player (in most cases they run the least)
so, hearing him say that he was prevented is painful. what is also painful is to watch him try to compete 8v11 most times because our lack of quality or selection stubbornness
however, Elif Elmas is a fighter that never gives up, no matter how many lessons are along the road. I wish he leads us to Mundo and fulfill the dream. his and ours

It's hard to justify in 2026, with the VRS system, but women's CS should have been better integrated into the wider competitive circuit as much as 10 years ago.
Prior to VRS, we had so many bullshit invites to big tournaments that showed up on name value alone without winning a game.
How many ESL and BLAST tournaments did you see where EG or OG took a spot without actually being competitive what so ever. How many random-ass local qualifiers have you seen for Dreamhack Opens where they go out in last place.
What's the key behind Valorant's success in women's esports? To me the key difference is that Game Changers is integrated into the wider scene which adds viewership and incentives to compete.
I'm not saying we have to have an invite for them all the time but if we'd had opportunities like last year's Imperial Valkyries run at Blast Bounty happen intermittently at S- and A-tier events for the last 10 years, I think it would be very different.
Wouldn't you rather have seen a game like Imperial Valkyries vs NAVI or FURIA a few times per year than having had to sit through another generational loss streak from EG at EPL?
Unfortunately I think it's impossible to execute properly in the current VRS ecosystem without significantly more controversy than what was the case in the late 2010s and early 2020s. But that's what I think could have made a difference.
In a broader sense, I think in 5-10 years it will naturally improve as the female playerbase grows in pure numbers. Today's female players got introduced to CS in the early-mid 2010s, and since then the gender split in CS and gaming in general has definitely gotten a lot more even among young people that will enter the competitive scene in a few years.
So naturally, more players means more and better players, and a bigger market that makes advertising more attractive, meaning more and bigger tournaments, more viewership, etc.
Long reply, but there you go :>

UNBELIAVBLE DAY 9 MAPS TO QUALIFY FOR MAIN TOURNAMENT @EWC_EN SO FUCKING HAPPY !!!!
These blue and green squares are killing the Counter-Strike community.
Being paid to post on social media incentivizes quick clicks instead of actual thoughtful, original content.
Being an "aggregator" of content, that is, collecting already created content and repackaging it, is easier than actually creating an original THOUGHT.
Now there are good aggregators like @Ozzny_CS2 who go to great lengths going through interviews that not everyone has time to see to find quotes that define the culture. To those who actually put EFFORT into their aggregation. Great!
But many just slap the latest HLTV article into a TLDR and call themselves a news source and ask the dumbest fucking question at the end to bait replies.
You all are useless parasites wasting my time.
If you read this and see these posts on your timeline, don't interact with them. Hopefully this app will correct itself into actually rewarding quality content.
Thanks.

Want to update everyone that combined $14,700 was raised for me. I am truely blessed that over 180 people wanted to help me.
Without a doubt in my mind I know I can get back to basically exactly where I was before all my equipment was stolen if I'm smart with the money that was sent and hunt for good deals.
I'll be leaving the gofundme open to anyone who wants to further support me get to the true value of everything taken, but at this point I don't need anything else.
You all have been absolutely incredible and I loved reading your messages of support ❤️ I promise you can count on me to continue doing my best to give my photography to the esports community.
Unfortunately insurance company doesn't cover the theft so my only option is to accept help from you guys.
gofund.me/7aa1157c2
I really hate needing to take money from other people, but so many of you really want to help so a gofundme seems like the only option to be able to continue doing what I love.
I set the goal to $15,000 because that's my guess for the minimum value of everything I think I had, but I'd be super appreciative to get any amount from the community. Anything to be able to get me back to being able to photograph events and able to get back to work.
Thanks in advance to everyone who supports me and helps me get back to my passion ❤️

This completely misunderstands what a red card is.
A red card isn't just a punishment for malicious intent—it's also a sanction for actions that endanger an opponent. Plenty of red cards are given for reckless challenges without any intent to injure.
If "it was an accident" becomes the standard, you've just eliminated half the red cards in football.
The referee saw the incident, applied the Laws of the Game, and FIFA overturned it after the fact. That's the real issue.
A fantastic decision by FIFA.
Red cards are given out as a punishment to deter bad behavior; when the behavior is accidental, issuing a punishment is entirely performative.
Balogun’s red card served no purpose. Its only role would have been to unjustly handicap one of the best storylines of the tournament in their biggest (and most visible) moment so far.
A fantastic move by FIFA to recognize this and correct to allow the players to decide the outcome of the game. Well done.

This makes a mockery of the whole tournament.
If the USMNT win, Belgium will have every right to feel cheated, meanwhile the USA’s victory - by their best ever generation of players - will forever be tainted by accusations of favouritism and corruption.
It’s bad for everyone.
BREAKING @TheAthleticFC
Folarin Balogun will be available to play the USMNT’s round of 16 match against Belgium with his one-game red-card ban suspended. Extraordinary development.

None of this breaks TOR. As always, you need to vote with your feet and only attend events worth supporting if you want to force the quality of others to go up.

Lina Gjorcheska is the first-ever 🇲🇰 player (both men and women's competition) in the history to secure a place in the main draw of a grand slam tournament. 🎾
The 31-year-old defeated (2:0) Lucia Bronzetti in the #Wimbledon QR3 and will play in the main draw, outstanding... 👏

🇲🇰 Fun fact: Did you know that @stressarncs is only the 3rd Macedonian player ever to make it to a Counter-Strike Major?
Try to guess who the other 2 players are 👀
