software engineering nowadays:
generate tons of slop -> distillate it until it meets the quality criteria
that’s it

Our TVL just crossed $11M
In just three weeks it grew 37% to get here.
The path so far:
- $4M in June
- $8M on Sep 2
- $11M+ today
Going from $4M to $8M took about three months. The next $3M took three weeks.
Thank you to everyone who holds with us. We are still early.
everyone is moaning that IT jobs are hard to find right now
I'm looking for an engineer who can take ownership and understands deeply how things work and I haven't been able to find one for more than a month

JUST IN: Vibecoder gives a simulated fruit fly brain $100 to trade Bitcoin, stimulating its dopamine neurons whenever it turns a profit.
based on the experience I’ve had working on projects for the last decade, the main reason most of them fail is this:
they paint buttons instead of making money.
what I mean by “painting buttons”:
1.optimising things that don’t need optimisation.
2.writing clean code for systems that will never be maintained.
3.adding extra features when nobody is using the core feature.
4.building infrastructure in-house instead of renting it from companies that have it as their core business.
5.doing things because they enjoy them, not because clients want them.
I believe the root cause is that they are builders. They do what they are most skilled at, and what they can actually control.
figma, servers, architecture, and features are deterministic. The market is not.

We also updated the transparency page. Everything on it is open for you to look at directly:
- What is held
- Where it sits
- Who can move it
- What moved recently
The number is the least interesting thing on that page. The useful part is that all four read straight off the chain, so what you are looking at is the record itself.
Posting a growth number is the easy part. The part worth committing to is that the picture stays open as it gets bigger, for anyone, without an account and without asking us first.
Right now this still counts as a feature. We want to see it become the boring standard.
