I’ve never known much about Dolly Parton’s music but I’ve always been aware of her charity and her wit. I’m sure I’ve missed out but it goes to show what an incredible life and person to be known for many different positive things. I’m generally sad to hear of her loss. RIP.

For what it’s worth I’m very uncomfortable with Andy Burnham becoming PM. The manner he’s been placed there and many of the cheerleaders. It’s party over country. How many times are we going down this avenue. I may not like what the polls predict but that’s how democracy works.

I had no preference for tonight’s game. Now it’s over I’ve discovered it was for France to win. However Spain would be the easier to beat in the final. I suppose it’s the first time England will have become a bigger favourite than France.

I absolutely agree in protecting MP’s. I also believe that recent politics drives violence & hate in society which includes MP’s. Populism on all sides is designed to appeal to emotions. It divides, ignoring facts & tolerence. You can’t stoke up hate and ignore the consequences.

If the World Cup moves to 64 teams there’s almost no point in qualification.

I hear people marvelling at players having scored more goals in this World Cup than previously. They do realise there’s an extra game due to almost a quarter of all countries that could compete making it to the finals.

FIFA are almost as corrupt as the UN.
