Detrás de cada avance en reproducción asistida hay años de investigación. Pero ¿qué se está estudiando actualmente? ¿Qué preguntas intenta responder la ciencia? ¿Y cómo podrían trasladarse esos conocimientos a los tratamientos del futuro?
En Virtual Infert 2026 abrimos nuestro espacio 𝗗𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗮 𝗹𝗮 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 para acercar la investigación científica a quienes vivimos la infertilidad.
Nos acompañará el equipo investigador del 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗼 @afrodita_dn , encabezado por el 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗦𝗲𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮́𝗻 𝗖𝗮́𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗲́, catedrático de Fisiología de la Universidad de Murcia y coordinador de la Red de Doctorado Europeo AFRODITA-MSCA.
🧬 AFRODITA reúne 15 líneas de investigación centradas en estudiar los efectos de las técnicas de reproducción asistida y desarrollar nuevas estrategias que permitan mejorar los tratamientos y la salud de la descendencia.

As part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), our doctoral candidate Camila Rojo Fleming was interviewed about her research and her experience as an early-career researcher within a European research network.
The interview has been published in the Italian press, with a feature highlighting her work on oocyte maturation and oxidative stress, including research published in Frontiers in Nutrition.

Last week, Camila Rojo Fleming and Tania Rodríguez Marco presented our latest Journal Club session, discussing the paper:
“Oviductal extracellular matrix hydrogels enhance in vitro culture of rabbit embryos and reduce deficiencies during assisted reproductive technologies”
The paper explores how oviductal extracellular matrix hydrogels could support embryo development in vitro and help address some of the limitations associated with assisted reproductive technologies
