I'm Alex, a solo indie dev building a portfolio of web games - with Poki as my main publisher - and betting on one niche: online multiplayer in the browser. Make Brainrots Online was experiment #1. The tech stack, the CCU targets, perf optimizations - all of it is groundwork for what's next. Follow if you care about: - web gamedev (ThreeJS, PixiJS, BabylonJS, Bun, WebSockets) - publishing on Poki (self publishing as well) - solo dev building a real business

Is this the end of web portals?
Creators, it’s your turn to test Web Play. 🎮 Starting today, you can play your own Roblox games in Chrome on macOS, Windows, and Android. Open your game in Creator Hub and click “Play in Browser” to help us find bugs and tune performance before Web Play reaches all players. Get the details: devforum.roblox.com/t/creato…

You know, some days things just work out. Today is one of those days. - got a message from CG. - had a nice twitch stream testing @MartinTale 's game for twitch - new record: +12 followers/day. For an indie like me it means a lot. Thank you guys for your support!

It's a mid day for me and 0% tokens left. So Im gonna enjoy the rest of the day with my family. Dot is still working on GTA-like multiplayer game in the background, the result isn't good yet.

I've always wanted an easier way to connect with other game devs. Finding their contacts usually meant digging all over the internet. I'm building WebGameSpy, a database of web games, and adding studio profiles with contact links. Here's mine: webgamespy.com/studio/st_e95… I've already added a few devs I know. Want me to add you too? Reply or DM me your studio name and whatever contacts you'd like listed: socials, website, Discord, etc.

It seems like the things are going really bad at OpenAI 😢 Ps Of course I enjoy free resets every second day
Day 25/ We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today. We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage. And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.

Cut WebGameSpy's homepage server response from 15.5s to 0.32–0.36s. Added db indexes, fixed the stats cache and stopped recalculating rankings for every game page. Even the privacy page used to take 10.8s 😂

By reading X posts like that I got to the conclusion that the only way to make money is launching Bible apps.
Probably the wildest app success story of 2026: This solo founder is making $2M MRR just 10 months after launch His app? TikTok but for scrolling the Bible

I'm really thinking about picking @defold for GTA like game to support cross platforms(PC + mobile + web+ consoles) Unity really sucks at web builds(pure support, perf) and defold's HOT Reloading feature is awesome. Time to ask codex to build a small prototype... What I want to build? - Yet another RP game with "open world": professions, quests, jobs, cars. Main goal is to build 3d RP game for web with ability to publish on "native" platforms. Unfortunately JavaScript-based game has a shitty perf on mobile via cordova/capacitor. - large terrain with chunk/objects streaming from the server. LOD. - server side on c++(or Odin?) - networking: multiple protocols(tcp + web sockets), im not sure about protobuf. I think now Agents are capable at writing binary protocol. - simple physics(box3d for defold?) - postgres(single thread for writing, probably with in memory cache for player's/world data) - up to 100 players per world.

Crazy just rolled out a new stuff in the dashboard - gameplay funnel. It shows how many players stay in a game more than 10m. So it seems like web is moving into mobile games direction with longer sessions. On Poki the timewall is also changed from 5-6m to 8+

It's time to try something new. After latest monthly call with game developers, I decided to try Roblox. I'm gonna continue working on web games too(including youtube playable, snapchat, tiktok soon?). But ceiling for Roblox is much higher than web.

I really wish Bun will replace ansible/terraform in near future. So any deployment should be as easy as “bun deploy”.
a growing part of how I feel about bun is this whole category of software - linters, formatters, package managers, type checkers, test runners, bundlers this used to be hard software to build and now it can be prompted into existence in a day or two
