Today we launched @blocks first major bitcoin consumer campaign, built for the 60 million bitcoin-curious in the US.
Most conversations about #bitcoin start with price, speculation "number go 📈", or overly technical explanations. We're challenging that.
Rent goes up 30%. Wall Street crashes the economy and keeps the money. Another mystery fee appears on the bill.
We believe in a better system where nobody can print more money, decide where you can spend yours, or skim your profits with unearned fees. That’s bitcoin. It isn’t perfect, but at least it makes sense.

I might move back to CT for this @teddyfuse
Connecticut drivers, stay right unless you're passing. Starting Oct. 1, drivers who remain in the left lane without passing could face a fine of up to $88.

As someone who has talked about asset/equities tokenization for too long (I have the decks to prove it), the current Sibos-induced blather about the actual market size is depressing. It's just so misguided. It is NOT a 'trillion dollar market.' (I know: my familiar complaint.)

So funny, that people in control of information don’t like technologies that expand access to information…

The nor’easter lashing Nantucket with wind and rain this weekend has uncovered the remains of a shipwreck along the island’s south shore.
The fragment is likely from the 19th century schooner Warren Sawyer, a wooden ship that wrecked near Miacomet Beach on December 22, 1884.

Every account affected by the September 19 incident has been made whole.
We restored each account to its exact pre-incident balance.
Affected users were notified directly before this post.
Thank you to our mission-aligned shareholders who stepped in.
"Today society is at a crossroads. Down one path lies the status quo: more data collection, more intermediary surveillance, more “know your customer” requirements that turn our financial rails into a panopticon. Down the other path lies an opportunity to use new technologies to improve our ability to catch criminals while collecting less personal information than ever before, and monitoring more sparingly to protect Americans’ privacy."
@HesterPeirce is a real one. The 'other' path is what Americans should strive for.

This is how you handle an incident.
Identify the affected users. Make them whole. Take responsibility. Bravo @blinkbtc.
Not: “We’ll keep your tokens frozen until someone else gives us back the funds that were stolen on our watch.”
Take notes, @Blockstream @Liquid_BTC.

Bitcoin is for everyone! #BitcoinFixesThis ✅
Talk about slowly then ....
Just got off a call with a waste mgmt consortium who have
1. significant methane emissions on multiple landfills affecting air quality, tourism, human health
2. concluded the only viable solution is Bitcoin mining
3. are asking when we can visit
They don't want one Bitcoin on of their landfills, they want it piloted on one, then rolled out to all the other major emitters.
And because methane is such a powerful greenhouse gas, just one of these landfill will offset the emissions of a whole midsized city.
3 years ago, landfill owners didn't want to know us/ Fellow-environmentalists scoffed at the idea Bitcoin mining could do anything good for the environment. Fellow investors said things like "remind me the name of your fund, so I'm sure never to invest"
The impact that Bitcoin can make for people and planet is only just beginning.
