Absolutely evil strike on innocent civilians at the railway station — 4 jet-powered drones hit the platform and trains. A train with evacuees from Zaporizhzhia had just arrived, and people were running to the shelter when the drones hit. Barbaric.
A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene. Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.

Energy makes up 3.5% of the S&P 500, yet it's about to pay out 20% of all the cash the index returns to shareholders. And the crowd still won't touch it. My friend Robert Mullin of Marathon Resource Advisors has been all over this for years, and he walked me through where he's finding the best opportunities right now: - Why the back end of the oil curve just started moving, and what it says about inventories heading into peak demand season - The oil service giant hiding a real AI business that could be worth more than the whole company - Why the AI capex boom looks like a dead ringer for the shale boom - The Persian Gulf shortage that could hit the food chain within 3 to 6 months - Where he's buying producers at 2 times cash flow with 10% dividends I'm long Robert Mullin and short Scam Altman. Very timely, watch it here: youtu.be/rgKtKXpCnzI

🚨JUST IN: BBC AI chief previously jailed for immigration offences after al-Qaeda manual found. • An Algerian migrant who was once found in possession of an al-Qaeda training manual is now principal data scientist in the Responsible AI division at the BBC. • Hicham Yezza was working at the University of Nottingham in 2008 when the document was discovered on his computer; he and a colleague were arrested under the Terrorism Act but released without charge after he said it had been sent for printing. • He was then rearrested under immigration rules and sentenced in 2009 to nine months in prison for an offence related to his claim of having permission to remain in Britain; he served five months and is now a British citizen. • Before joining the BBC he worked as an editor and later as an Al Jazeera consultant, and held editorial roles at the corporation including as a Middle East and North Africa expert. • Prior to his BBC employment he posted online about the occupation and apartheid in Israel and described rockets fired from Gaza as resistance.

Coreweave CEO Michael Intrator says the market is acting irrationally by selling his stock. A run through SEC filings reveals Michael Intrator has been “acting irrationally” as well, selling $907 million worth of $CRWV shares this year alone. His cofounders Brian Venturo and Brannin Mcbee have also been acting irrationally. The trio has sold a combined $3.3 billion of stock since the IPO. Venturo is the second biggest insider seller of any American company this year. Their benefactors at Magnetar Capital have also been acting irrationally. They have sold more than $5.5 Billion of Coreweave stock since the IPO. A lot of people seem to be acting very irrationally.

Economics rearing its ugly head yet again
These NYC apartments are standing empty, not because the owners don't want to rent them, but because rent stabilization laws prohibit them from charging enough to earn back the costs of necessary repairs. My latest for @WSJFreeEx

production gets more efficient. costs fall. prices fall. the consumer benefits. this is what progress looks like the central bank sees falling prices and panics. "deflation." it prints money to push them back up. making things cheaper was apparently the wrong kind of progress the austrian sees falling prices as a sign that civilization is working. the keynesian sees them as a disease to be cured. same data, yet a completely opposite diagnosis. keynesianism is wrong about what prosperity means
