Over the past 3 years for @CTDEvents_ our event arm under @DTCGroup_ , we’ve invested more than $5M into events, not because events themselves needed to be the profit center, but because we believe deeply in what happens when you put the right people, in the right environment, at the right moment. Great events don’t happen by accident. They’re curated. Planned. Selected. Structured. It’s the guest list. The environment. The seating. The agenda. The sequencing of the night. The conversations you create space for. And the experiences people go through together. For our private event the past night, that meant a full 3-minute fireworks show overlooking the Chao Phraya River, followed by ending the night at Bangkok’s #1-ranked bar. Not simply because it looks impressive. Because shared experiences build trust differently. They take people beyond exchanging business cards and into actually knowing one another, understanding different perspectives, discovering opportunities, doing business together, and sometimes building relationships that last for life. That’s the layer of events people often underestimate. Events are not just gatherings. They are environments designed for human connection.
