A forecast you can't measure is just a guess. Predicting how much you'll have left to spend this month sounds like a modelling problem. In practice, it's mostly a measurement problem. Here's how we're approaching it at Panoply 📷

Our second principle: a forecast should tell you how confident it is. A month with predictable spending isn't the same as one with three irregular payments. The number alone isn't enough. You need to know how much you can trust it.

Better models are nice. But what matters is a forecast you can test, measure and improve. That's what we're working towards at Panoply: helping you understand what you can really spend, without guesswork. Sign up to the waitlist: pano.so/n383k

Safe-to-spend sounds like a math problem. It’s mostly a data problem. Some banks share upcoming debits. Others keep them a surprise. So we estimate them from your history: rent, phone, that gym you swear you’ll go back to. More in Presse-Citron (FR): presse-citron.net/simplifier…
