I might be crazy, but it feels like tonight is a prime example of why the #SJSharks should not have given Warso an extension prior to the season starting. #Meritocracy

The #SJSharks coaching staff after putting Macklin Celebrini & Will Smith back on a line together.
I mean... if it was so obvious, 71 and 2 would've been reunited much earlier... like in the game vs Buffalo.
Ryan Warsofsky said he decided tonight to reunite Will Smith and Macklin Celebrini with about a minute and a half left in the second period.
"Obviously, we couldn't generate anything, and we've been trying to work with some things within our lines and try to get some chemistry going. And obviously, it wasn't working, and it was just time."
Hi @NBCSSharks. FYI, @NatalieNoury's mic is bleeding over into Smith's postgame interview.

Will Smith and Mason Marchment scored 11 seconds apart, tied for the seventh-fastest two goals in @SanJoseSharks history. The last time San Jose scored two faster goals was Dec. 9, 2022 (0:08).

Let me say it again, for the #SJSharks @TurnItAllTeal fans in the back...

2 things can be true.
This feels like it's clearly a case of the #SJSharks being outcoached. I don't necessarily mean that as a slight toward Warsofsky, rather how good of a coach Manny Malhotra is despite being a first-year head coach.
