I like the idea of taking your life incredibly seriously while refusing to take yourself too seriously. find a pursuit that makes you excited to be alive. read widely, move your body often, and keep getting better at whatever matters to you. protect your solitude. love your people deeply and occasionally stay out until a completely unreasonable hour. seems like a pretty damn good way to live.

Don't be surprised when your career,
relationships, income, and sense of peace all align at once. You're entering a phase where everything starts coming together. It's what happens when your life finally meets the version of yourself you've been steadily becoming.

Me encanta la carta de Kafka a Milena cuando dijo: «Te encontré y me reconcilié con el mundo, perdoné a los ausentes y excusé a todos los que partieron; desde que te encontré, veo que nada merece la ira salvo tu ausencia».

Be a little delusional about the next 60 days. Your life can change faster than you think. Most people doubt it’s possible, then spend years proving themselves right. Believe bigger, stay focused, and let the next two months surprise you. Your whole story can change.
Whenever I write an email, I use an exclamation point so people know I’m friendly and excited! Then I throw in a period to remind them I’m a normal, sane person. Sometimes I even add another sentence with a period just to be safe. Thanks so much!
Acquiring knowledge, really.
The more knowledge you have in an area, the more confident you are in articulating your perspective.
Having a significant knowledge advantage allows you to speak with a level of conviction and authority that naturally comes across as assertiveness

find a way. I mean become absolutely unwilling to accept that you’ve run out of options while you still have the ability to think of another one. you can lose your position without losing your appetite to win. and I think that appetite, when one refuses to let it die, can carry them through an almost incomprehensible amount of difficulty.

Want to change your life? Master one thing: Shame. Stop fearing judgment, looking stupid, or failing in public. People will talk, judge and, criticize you. Then they’ll move on. Stop living for their approval. Do what you need to do. Take the risk and build the life you want.

That’s why I advocate for doing hard things, even when the circumstances aren’t ideal. Time will pass anyway, so it's better to spend it working toward something that puts you in a better position than letting it pass while everything stays the same.

your 20s are spent telling yourself you can't possibly take it anymore then going to bed and waking up to another day which you will spend taking it, in thousands of agonies, further still
If you sit with yourself and reflect on your life, and the things that are stopping you from becoming who you were meant to be, underneath it all, at the very bottom, you will always find this one emotion that you are afraid to face. Sit with it. Face it. This is your sign. Be done.
but perhaps part of tawakkul is grieving what you wanted while still trusting the one who knows why you didn’t receive it. Allah says, perhaps you dislike a thing and it is good for you, and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you, Allah knows and you do not know 2:216 2/2

nothing humbles you like rereading your old writing and realizing the person who wrote it doesn't live here anymore. the sentences used to arrive on their own. now you chase every word. that voice is gone, and you're the one who spent it.

I came across a theory that AI is starting to make more mistakes because the internet is increasingly polluted with AI slop. The idea of AI cannibalising itself into obscurity is one of my favourite things ever. I hope it is true and I hope it becomes impossible to fix.
