Three upcoming upgrades The official plan is a network upgrade around February 16, 2027. The crowd you blend into becomes far larger, making statistical tracing much harder. 🛡️ Post-quantum: protection against future quantum computers The security of most cryptocurrencies today rests on mathematics that quantum computers may one day break. A more realistic threat is “harvest now, decrypt later”: someone saves on-chain data today and decrypts it once quantum computers mature. Blocknet plans to switch to quantum-resistant cryptography in advance, so today’s privacy remains valid in the future. 🔁 VEIL: private swaps without an exchange The plan lets users swap directly with other coins peer-to-peer, using BNT as the intermediary, with no exchange and no custodian holding your coins. For example, when swapping BTC for ETH or USDT through the privacy chain, it becomes much harder to link “who swapped with whom” on-chain. Your wallet needs to stay online during a swap. The value of BNT BNT has no corporate backing and no premine. Its value depends on the following: Privacy is a real need.
