To everyone, thanks for the amazing years. It seems that the fxhash platform has come to a close. The artwork, however, lives on.
The lack of communication around the wind-down is regrettable. To clarify and provide some closure:
The entire fxhash team was let go in February, except for the founder. Currently, there appears to be no attempt being made to close on the loan offered to the company (the loan was previously mentioned in a post by ciphrd).
Therefore, no current or future development is being planned. The website is now offline, and it is unclear whether it will come back.
To all the people who made fxhash possible: artists, collectors, team members, enthusiasts, supporters, partners...in short, EVERYONE who took part in the special happening that was fxhash...THANK YOU!
We shared so much together and had a truly wild code-based ride. Thankfully, @verse_works @lerandomart @objktcom are supporting the viewing & exchange of artworks published on fxhash. Mega props to them for staying true to the mission through difficult times.
And former fxhash front-end developer @maerzhase3000 has developed a framework for keeping fxhash artwork available without relying on fxhash infrastructure: whitehash.m3000.io
It's too bad things ended like this. But between the monumental trove of artwork that formed a unique creative movement and the friends we made along the way, some might say we lived it to the fullest.
The discord community is indeed still online and active if you're looking for a place to hang and talk about the good ol' days.

If you're not using MEW Portfolio rn you're missing out on 💰 rewards literally every day.
For a limited time, every $10+ swap on Ethereum gets you $5 back in USDC. Only available for the first 100 swaps daily.

I've been designing products since 2005. My go to heuristic was always: tech changes fast but humans change very slowly, so as long as we focus on a human we can still generate a lot of value, no matter the tech.
With AI this balance changes...
as tools evolve I feel that the value we can add will decrease and reach 0. (As output grows!)
I think as we approach zero a new meta starts, where we can make stuff that is deliberately worse, and distribute some sort of message that way that other humans will find valuable.
Haven’t had this much pleasure realizing something about data vis since reading E. Tufte’s books.
Radar graphs are among the worst ideas in data visualization. The whole point of them is to show the area and you can usually reorder the labels freely in order to create a desired dramatic effect.
Two versions of the same graph:
- left one tells the story that AI is rapidly replacing whole industries
- right one shows the "jaggedness" and reinforces the idea that humans will always have something that AI won't be able to replicate
Imagine your intern running to re-read your entire knowledge base every time you ask her to make a small adjustment, even though they just re-read it for the 100th time one prompt ago...
I hope AI eliminates the need for cars everywhere. When everything is everywhere on demand for free, maybe humans can chill a little on that whole driving everywhere thing.
Maybe battery powered legs for the weak-hearted, something ffs.
This is the way
When it comes to building your chest few things comes close to ring push-ups
They create huge amount of tension in your chest, shoulders and tricep
And yes the instability adds to their effectiveness
Pro-tip: add a bit of a fly motion to them
The contraction in your upper chest will be unmatched
No need to rush them
Perform controlled sets of 5-15 reps and your chest will blow up
