Student train passes used to have a printed condition that a travelling-for-free student was obliged to give up their seat for an adult. The wording was removed at least 20 years ago, probably due to adults bullying kids.
How times have changed. I’m on the 7:40 train from Wahroonga to the city, it’s packed. Most of the seats are occupied by school kids, everyone standing are adults, including some quite elderly people. St Pius Chatswood students are the most noticeable offenders

But, on further enquiry, the order was not put on the truck because 3 of the 66 items were not available. The customer service officer suggested removing those 3 items and having it all delivered in 4 weeks' time.

#988Lifeline openly engages in nonconsensual active rescue despite its harms and lack of effectiveness. Callers seeking phone support can end up being escorted by police to a psychiatric hospital against their will--sometimes at gunpoint if the officers deem the person dangerous.
It does seem fitting to honour the many hundreds of thousands who were here as much or more than the one and a half thousand who turned up in 1788.

It does seem strange. Perhaps we could make up First Nation's Day, cancel Australia Day and watch Pauline Hanson, Andrew Bolt and Prue McSween implode.
