Our disagreement with you is not about the republic. If your hearts are truly with the republic, as you claim, then its first condition is national independence. You cannot be a republican and surrender your political decision-making to Saudi Arabia or demand that it be placed

Sana'a has officially invited the media to visit Taiz and independently verify claims that the city is under siege. Every outlet reporting a siege now has an opportunity to investigate. Will they verify their claims on the ground—or keep repeating them from a distance?

Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi: We emphasize that the claims made by the Saudi enemy about the city of Taiz being under siege are false and baseless. There is no siege on the city of Taiz, and the entry of all goods, including food, medicine, and humanitarian supplies, is open. The only thing that is prohibited from entering is weapons, which are intended for the armed groups affiliated with the Saudi enemy that are killing the children of the Yemeni people. ▪️Anyone who wants to be sure that there is no siege on the city of Taiz can go to that city and confirm this fact. The Saudis are lying, and the group affiliated with them that has betrayed its people and homeland is also lying about the city of Taiz.

Referring to the Government of Yemen as “Saudi-backed forces”, as if Yemen is being manipulated by the KSA in some nefarious way, rather than referring to it as the ‘Government of Yemen’, which is what it is, gives legitimacy to the Houthis and portrays them as a legitimate force in the region.

"Claims of Chinese, Russian, Iranian, and Omani support-and now Emirati support-continue to circulate, though they remain unverified." This precisely. The Houthis are not a mere movement, they are a phenomenon of world historical significance. Many are afraid to admit that.
One reason these stories are gaining traction is the UAE’s failure to achieve its objectives in Yemen through its own efforts. This creates a market for those seeking to convince Abu Dhabi that Ansar Allah can achieve what Emirati policy could not. Even if the report is true-despite the denial attributed to an Ansar Allah official-it suggests that Sana’a has become a force others may seek to cooperate with, while Saudi Arabia faces mounting setbacks and failures despite years of war and reliance on allies and mercenaries. Claims of Chinese, Russian, Iranian, and Omani support-and now Emirati support-continue to circulate, though they remain unverified. The bottom line is that the Yemeni Armed Forces are pursuing their own objective: liberating Yemen from foreign intervention. This objective would not have been achievable had Saudi Arabia and the UAE succeeded in achieving their goals in Yemen through war.

The Houthis are directly warning Southern forces from getting entangled in this conflict, openly telling them to not get involved in the military operations taking place in Aden. The South, is still under conquest, but not by the Houthis.
Aden International Airport is a giant dinner plate for Ansarallah missiles and drones to feast on Saudi officers and military advisors. I'm waiting to see if there will be a third batch.

In 2015, the Taiz branch of the Yemeni Socialist Party facilitated and backed the initial entry of Ansar forces into the city, hoping to eliminate the reactionary Islah current. It would be unwise to rule out a similar scenario unfolding again through current mediation efforts.

Regardless of what Saudi media claims, Taiz is far from politically united. Competing political forces with deeply antagonistic interests have been struggling for influence within the city since 2015, and this conflict has persisted even in the absence of any Ansar presence.

In his late teens, Abdulfattah joined the NLF and was branded a terrorist by British colonial authorities. The uprising was dismissively labeled a tribal revolt to undermine its legitimacy and broad appeal.
Coalition supporters across the spectrum, from separatists to loyalists of the hotel government, remain staunchly opposed to Abdulfattah Ismail, as they are certain that were he alive today, he would side with Ansarallah.

There's no question that he would. Abdulfattah's writings on the Yemeni national question makes this clear.
