Aslamalaikam, friends and Others. I had taken leave from fb , X and WhatsApp gps for the month of October. Had no intentions to return earlier , but few misleading posts were circulating about stoppage of my pension and other privileges, that need to be clarified. My pension was never stopped . Most of my privileges were restored a long time back . My efforts to remove misunderstandings between a political party and establishment will continue for the sake of creating a congenial political environment in the Country. Without this rapprochement and reconciliation, we may not be able to move forward. International and regional environments are offering a great opportunity for possibly an upward leap. Thanks to our successful military diplomacy . But in my assessment this great moment can only be clenched if we create internal harmony . And that requires political justice, peace , system reset and economic recovery. Good relations with neighbouring countries will also help Only a properly elected legitimate government (that reflects aspirations of the people) and establishment combined may bring about far reaching and meaningful changes in the Political and Governance System, that no doubt has collapsed. Any other modality of bringing about profound changes in the Governance Structure will either fail or will be annulled by future Parliament and Judiciary, whenever they establish their feet on ground. SO WHY NOT GO FOR A PERMANENT BUT LEGITIMATE SOLUTION ? And every one knows what does that entail : Political Reconciliation Fair and Free Elections Maybe a Hybrid System but led by Legitimate Political Set up. Whole of the Nation Approach. Can we overcome our rigidity and bitterness for the sake of hapless poverty stricken masses , and make this Country great , that it richly deserves ??
