Something happened this evening that reaffirmed why Igbos remain the best when it comes to business. On my way home from the shop, I boarded a bike and the man pleaded with me to allow him stop to buy eggs for his family. I agreed. We got to the first shop, it belongs to a Benin woman. Bike man: How much for one egg? Salesgirl: N250 Bike man: No be 3 for N500? Shop owner: Come back later, we no get egg for you. I felt sad. We rode to another shop belonging to an Igbo woman. Bike man: How much for egg? Daughter of the owner: N250 Bike man: No be 3 for N500? Girl: Ahh, egg don cost o, we no dey sell like that again. To my surprise, the bike man bought 4 eggs for N2000 there. When it comes to business, manners and respect matters a lot.

Revenue and Engagement farming should not be the reason why some of you big Igbo accounts create Umunna/Umuada on X, twisting our culture and suggesting ridiculous takes Putting out these cultural misrepresentationd and twisted history into the media gradually changes originality NDi igbo needs to start telling their story, history, culture and lifestyle before these money mongers with big account turns our culture upside down for X revenue

No Igbo family will ever bury the remain of their loved one in a cemetery No matter the mansion you have in the city, you remains must go home to your ansectral home When a Igbo man dies with No wife or children, his Age grade and kindred must bring him home No matter where his body is, it is their obligation Even a man with no block in village always have a burial spot Even when a body is missing, a grave is a dugged with coffin containing cloth or personal effect of the deceased to mark a spot for remembrance Igbo sons have the obligation to maintain their fathers grave Time to Time they gather their kinsmen, make prayers over the grave, Then weed grasses and retile the grave They spend time beside the grave relishing fond memories about the deceased over plates of yam and Native fowl When our married daughters die, on her burial day her husband drives her coffin to her father's compound The eldest in her kindred, Family and compound stands outside to identify her, the ambulance drives into her compound with back but must remain at the gate From there to her husband's compound for burial If an Man or woman is fond of her maternal home, was trained by them or grew up with them they have right to identify the remain no matter the proximity Tell me how possible it is to do all these if the body is in a public cemetery Onye Igbo is precious to NDi Igbo even in death, we don't let go or forget them

When an Igbo man dies aboard His friends over there contributes millions to bring his body home to his people They owe him that respect, love and accountability They do that not because money is over flowing but because NDi igbo believe in Reincarnation Death is not end, for you to reincarnate again you must be able to find your way home and we help by burying the body in the family compound It is wickedness to keep your loved one outside together with strangers, thieves and dead mad people Even Indians always go home, they keep the dead close by incremating and storing Ash Please you all should keep your wokeism and religious stupidity to your stupid selves

Igbo culture holds the departed in great reverence. Our ancestors are integral part of our spiritual heritage. In some Igbo communities, special periods are set aside to honour them through traditional offerings reflecting the deep respect we have for those who came before us.

You don dey move like a proper fool these days, so I should go and bury my father in the cemetery when he has a house, so tomorrow if I want to find solace or ask for his assistance I’ll have to go to the cemetery. I don’t think you understand Igbo culture and traditions.

They should go and read more about Igbo traditions and beliefs. Death is not the end of a person in Igboland because we believe in reincarnation and burying someone in the cemetery far from their family and ancestors is a wickedness to the deceased person.
