Someone having a obvious mental illness and someone having a mental health crisis are two different things. If you’re going to publish something it’s important you not decide when someone is in crisis just because the way their illness presents makes you uncomfortable.

This is simply the best communication I have seen from an expert in a highly hostile media context. Phenomenal. Full of heart, compassion, and a drive to impart FACTS. Well done, @ian_hickie - I bow before you.

Talk to your kids - even if you don't think they'd ever use.
A surprising # of ppl use recreationally on weekends/parties but it's not always obvious - we need to keep an eye on each other.
It's prevalent & preventable & it'll take a whole community to get ahead of it 🙏♥️

The far right is lying to you. They are spinning a false narrative about what is happening in our schools.
No one is trying to convert anyone, but queer kids are still being bullied in our schools. – at Toronto, Ontario
some profs are hyper focused on student plagiarism and the use of chatgpt while also being paid to deliver classes where they are simply copying the textbook and associated teaching materials provided without a single original contribution and then calling it a day. 🤷♀️
I think about the BMI often when I think about clinical measures used in mental health assessment/treatment. It reminds me to question how measures have been created. By who? For who? What do we actually know about the tools effectiveness from the patient perspective? Etc.

BLMNL & ARC-NL stand together as we mourn the death of Omar Mohammed. There has been loss of a human life. A member of the NL Black community was shot & killed by an RNC Officer. RNC has released NO updates on the case, nothing has been said. We need answers. We deserve better.
