Voters WOKE Up!
Jesse Watters: “can't sugarcoat it. republicans got spanked. as things stand, democrats were able to flip seven senate seats and 29 house seats and counting. alaska, because of decoy dan, and mississippi, i know, mississippi are too close to call. so democrats may win nine senate seats. that's the worst-case scenario, putting them at 56 44. the democrats clinched the house, the senate, and won big governor races in georgia, iowa, nevada, ohio, and the most shocking, texas. greg abbott's gone and texas has its first hispanic governor, gina hinojosa. the one place where republicans held strong, florida. all statewide races went red. the rest of the country, wipeout. iowa, republicans haven't lost their in almost 20 years. south carolina, lindsey graham's old seat, 30 years. maine, almost 40 years. say hello to senator-elect kissin cousin commie logger troy jackson. kansas to the last democrat to win a senate seat there was almost 90 years ago and the guy who won that race was born the same year the light bulb was invented. mm-hmm. in texas, first time since 93. skinny jamie tallarico beat paxton by 12 points. he performed better than kamala. most of the state went blue. that only leaves one man left standing there. that is ted cruz. democrats have been salivating over texas for decades. now they can win texas in a presidential year. republicans will never win the white house again. the math won't work if democrats win texas, california, and new york. it's all she wrote. in 1970, 87% of the state was white. now just 37%. same thing happened in california. so the next border invasion, the republic as we know it is toast. and we're in trouble in the ai arms race. texas was set to be home to nearly half of the country's data centers. that's not happening now. iman, he might have to put them all in space. and all the states where the data centers were on the ballot, democrats won. texas, ohio, georgia, arizona. 41 districts had ai moratoriums up for a vote and it passed all 41 times. here's what's happening. voters are holding ai hostage for ransom money. you know, if you're gonna build in my backyard, what am i gonna get out of it? it was too hard to stomach watching billionaires become trillionaires and fly their wives into space for joyrides. yeah, there is a little bit of an envy factor at play, but voters just wanted a piece of the pie and dessert's about to be served. but ultimately, the election turned on the iran war and to a certain extent the trade war. the president promised these two gambles would pay off and we believe they will, but they didn't pay off fast enough. the country wasn't prepared for liberation day and that's the exact moment trump's approval ratings started to drop. a globalism spent 40 years sucking away jobs and factories. bringing them back like that is a slow and painful process. noble goal, but doesn't happen overnight. and farmers and red states, they paid the price. and when china stops buying their crops for leverage, yeah. and it was a two-punch combo. iran war also happened like that. we woke up one morning to airstrikes. the country wasn't prepped. couldn't be, because intel had the ayatollah at brunch with his top lieutenants one morning, so tight window. and once the missiles start flying and our boys are in danger, gotta back them up and finish the job. and we wrecked the enemy in about three weeks, but the hormuz strait got squeezed and gas, diesel, and fertilizer went up. boom, people were pissed and the military still on high alert. now this is all in the heels of the bidenomics hangover. voters just weren't willing to ride it out, especially young ones trying to make it. high prices and rates suffocating. and when the long term history will be the judge and we believe president trump will be judged as a bold and consequential leader, but in the short term voters delivered judgment day and it was no bueno. that's life when you're president. trump's unbridled ambition will make america great again, but today he's humbled. and to his credit he whacked a terror state and made the us economy more self-reliant, but voters weren't prepared for the process and had elected him for immediate relief. and when that didn't happen, trump and the republicans got punished severely. a corruption was also a motivator. the epstein files left a bad taste in people's mouths. the kirk killing turned people against each other and the base just didn't turn out. trump joked about being a dictator on day one, but a lot of people wanted a dictator. someone to come in, just deport 20 million people and crack corporate heads together, slap cuffs on comey and the rest of the scoundrels. the numbers don't lie. men swung 17 points from last election. the democrats actually won men. young voters, this is where it gets ugly, a 32-point swing for democrats. look at that. they won 70% of everybody under 30. now these people have grown up during the iraq war, the great recession, covid, bidenomics, and now the iran war. hispanics, same thing. votes shifted 28 points left. now they are a big swing vote. blacks stayed loyal to democrats, but the big headline, whites. we split the white vote. democrats got 49 percent or 48 of white americans. if republicans can't run up the score with whites, the party as it is today is over. whites haven't voted for democrats at this level, and there's a lot of us, in 50 years. carter ford. now here's the bottom line. joe biden handed trump three problems, crime, the border, and the economy. trump solved two of the three, but the economy was the big kahuna. stock markets great. jobless rate good. new steel plants, shipyards, and car factories being built every day, but things still shaky for a lot of folks. even the president still admits the iran war has a lot to do with this, but he said he'd still do it again. you got to respect that. he's been very stoic about the war. he was given power and he used it to make america safer before it was too late and people have a right to debate that. but the republican house and senate, that's another story. after they passed the big beautiful bill, there wasn't much else. now to be fair, they had slim majorities, but didn't make the most of it. so this is going to sting for a while. the gop might not reclaim the senate until the next decade. so what happens next? hearings, investigations, and maybe impeachment. trump's a deal maker and he's open to signing bipartisan bills, but he's already calling himself mr. veto. anything that passes the democrat congress, like court packing or nationalized health care, vetoed. and it takes two-thirds majorities to override it, which won't happen. now what happened the last time democrats got a whiff of power? peak woke. remember censorship, canceled culture, spending bonanza, open borders. there was a backlash. trump comes in, broke woke, won the culture wars, killed dei, was crushing it until he wasn't. so politics and power ebbs and flows. the valleys make the mountains, but this deep valley, it does open up a lane for a new generation of america first patriots to just ride in and win the next battle. but until then, democrats are going to be vicious. trump's been beating them up for ten years and they're livid and now they think they have them right where they want them. lame duck against big majorities and his base not as loyal. that and about a half dozen republicans about to announce their presidential campaigns in a pretty wicked environment. but to quote the great rocky balboa, it's not about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

Republicans Fu(ked around with gerrymandering and immediately Found out.
#FAFO
.@EWErickson is one of the few conservative voices who consistently opposed Republicans screwing around with the VRA districts. I remember getting into arguments with even Black Republicans over how stupid this strategy was. Most of these southern states have large Black populations. The VRA districts were the detente between the Black and white political dynamics in the South.
When Republicans betrayed that, it made Black voters feel like they no longer had a seat at the table under Republican governance and lashed out en masse. Which is EXACTLY what I told many of you would happen. I am not from the south, but my family is and several members of my family from the great migration generation are still alive today. As a result I have a certain level of sensitivity and consciousness of those dynamics and that ain’t nothing to play with. It also didn’t just anger Black people in the south. It had a reverberating effect everywhere
