Drove 8 hours and got about 45 min from where I’m going to stay, for the @Airbnb host to message and say she sold the property months ago and it’s not active. I got 3 reminder emails and a message the day before confirming my arrival time. I’m sure she did too…
Why was the last @duolingo update to Japanese so horrible? Considering cancelling this whole family plan bc it shot me 23 unites ahead and I haven’t learned any of the vocab or structure that it says I have 😭😭

Hoboken, New Jersey is a dense city center that hasn’t had a traffic death in over 4 years. They’ve accomplished this by creating more narrow, one-way streets, high visibility crosswalks, raised intersections, curb extensions, bike & bus lanes, and removing parking spaces.

Imagine how many unique shops would open across the country if we broadly legalized smaller retail spaces? Minimum square footage and lot size requirements stop entrepreneurs who can’t afford larger retail spaces from starting new businesses. They deserve the freedom of choice.

Still thinking about the crazy car driver yesterday chasing down a bike. She went the wrong way at least 3 times on purpose to try to get at the bike guy
& was driving fast AF through a busy pedestrian intersection.
As she u-turned in front of me, she opened her window to say she was calling the cops because he hit her car mirror. I yelled at her that she was going to kill someone, her response: “I don’t care!”. I said please do & let’s all wait for them! She sped off.
