What's actually happened with the left is that this administration has backed Israel's slaughter of 36,000+ Palestinians over the last several months, offered disingenuous excuses for it, and slandered its leftist critics. This has affected the left's view of this administration.

Cops regularly ‘canvass’ on the job, and it’s probably extremely effective. Friend in SF had a homeless guy break into his building’s lobby and piss everywhere, the cops came in time to arrest him, but then told them “because of the DA” there was no point in holding him.
