I think the #JohnLewisChristmas ad in 20 years time should revisit this family as granny’s will is being read out. And she’s left the lot to a donkey sanctuary.
Karma, you materialistic little sods.

The best Melbourne Cup day I’ve been to yet.
The Cup itself was a thriller but, more than that, the VRC staged an incredible entertainment event, one that was bigger and bolder than any I’ve previously experienced on a racecourse. It more than deserved its near 100,000 audience.
Cue the sing-a-long 🎶

A very special throwback…
Shilstone Rocks Precipitation when he was out on the moor with his herd.
This photograph will always be particularly dear to me. I had been asked to capture a magazine front cover that, quite simply, said Dartmoor a Dartmoor Pony within the landscape rather than just a portrait of one.
And sometimes Dartmoor gives you exactly what you are looking for.
Sir happened to be standing there, his herd quietly scattered around him, with Haytor Rocks rising in the distance and that wonderful moody Dartmoor sky overhead.
I remember looking through the viewfinder and thinking there really wasn't very much more I could ask for.
A Dartmoor Pony.
One of Dartmoor's most recognisable tors.
And a landscape I've spent so many years photographing.
Still one of those images that means far more to me than simply being a photograph. ❤️

If you remember nothing else today, remember Ciara's words:
"In a world where there’s so much hardship and sadness and hatred being spread... I choose to see the good people and there are so many of them..”

Incredibly sad news that Ciara Mageean passed away this morning.
A smile and a voice and an attitude that lit up a nation.
Never forget her drive for the line to win European gold in 2024.
“I didn’t grow up playing camogie to get boxed in.”
RIP 🕊️
Fair play. He came, he ran, he conquered. Haiti Couleurs really toughed that out with so far on flat.
