🤣🤣🤣
A company with 40 in-house lawyers hiring an external law firm of 200 lawyers just so both can sit together and watch one 70-year-old Senior Counsel firmly address a judge for 6 minutes is the purest form of theater known to man.

“This is mine, and this one is a stranger” such is the calculation of narrow-minded people. For the broad-minded, however, the entire world is indeed a family.

Jurisprudential question: Are the validity of a law and the moral justification of that law the same thing? Short answer: No.

अमन्त्रमक्षरं नास्ति नास्ति मूलमनौषधम्। अयोग्यः पुरुषो नास्ति योजकस्तत्र दुर्लभः॥ There is no letter that cannot form part of a sacred hymn. No root, plant, or herb lacks medicinal value. No individual is entirely incapable. Rare is the one who knows how to connect them.

Watched 'System'. One reason I enjoy courtroom dramas because they don't just interpret the law; they wrestle directly with the concept of justice itself. At times they portray a form of justice that the real legal system, constrained by procedures/evidence, can't always deliver.

A judgment based on AI hallucinations is no judgment in the eyes of law. SC describes fake AI generated precedents as "invisible, insidious & catastrophic" for the justice delivery system. Says AI can't replace human reasoning and verification. Pooja Ramesh Singh v J&K Bank Ltd

“Judges are trained professionals who take an oath to act impartially. Therefore, it is not permissible to presume that a person, once appointed as a judge, will act with bias or fail to do justice.” — Supreme Court in Anna Mathew v. SC Collegium & Ors. W.P. (C) No. 192 of 2023.

Funny how courtroom Sanskrit mutates by ear! Courtroom linguistics is a genre of its own!😂

Sometimes I can't believe that Lata Didi is not among us for the last four years.
Replying to @arrahman
The Lata Mangeshkar prayer song is so simple and impactful

In recent years, junior lawyers entering the profession have started listing “video editing” as one of their skills on their resumes. How exactly this skill assists in arguing a matter is incomprehensible to me. 🙄 My warning to you: You can edit videos; you cannot edit reality.

Whenever we choose to speak, we should pause and examine our own words. We should ask ourselves whether what we are about to say actually strengthens our position, or whether it quietly dismantles it without us realizing?

Words spoken without enough care, without precision or foresight, rarely stay neutral. They'll travel, get reshaped, and will be easily misunderstood and weaponized against us.

If our language does not clearly explain what we mean and quietly protect where we stand, it ends up doing the opposite. In moments like these, the real failure is not that we spoke at all, but that we did not think through the consequences of our own speech.
