Why put rectangles inside of rectangles (windows inside screens). It isnโt needed. Here is my pet project that runs on Windows 10/11. It captures each window and pushes frames wirelessly to my Meta Quest 3. Client is made using WebXR and AFrame. Hand tracked input is next.
I used to love Figma. Loved it! I have not needed it much this year, so I decided to cancel my pro membership before its annual renewal later this week.
The cancellation process has me not loving Figma anymore.
Around file 50, Figma started prompting me for a Captcha. Not when I opened a file, but when I kicked off the save-as.
Figma is putting up roadblocks for people who want to leave.
Really not cool.
This is so cool. How long until we see super refined local models that have been edited with this technique to be fast and efficient?
How much of this is already happening on the frontier?
We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math.
It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training.
We call this Weight-Space Programming: frontier LLMs can now natively read/write neural network weights! ๐งต

I just saw that David and Kyle from @UploadVR published a podcast this week. If you missed it, check it out. The new virtual studio is looking great, as are their Halloween costumes.

Interesting timestamp here from @Heaney555 (41:41) about 2d multi-tasking.

Iโve got something cool to show on Quest 3.
If you are doing VR development, you will probably have times where you are taking your headset off and putting it back on a lot. With Quest 3, there are some issues here - especially if you use an unlock code for security.
But, this introduces new friction and additional wear on the Quest 3's poor USB-C charging port. No worries, we can use our Quest 3 charging dock. With the pogo pins, it will be faster to put down and pick up. What a great idea! Except...
The Quest 3's dock (meta.com/quest/accessories/qโฆ) introduces two new hiccups to an otherwise promising flow:
1. The headset is facing the wrong way. Minor issue.
2. Once your Quest touches the pogo pins, it shuts off. Now you have to re-enter your passcode.
Come on @MetaVR_Official.
This looks cool. Thanks for sharing @Scobleizer.
My main question when it comes to tools like this (speaking vs typing/writing): what does it do to a personโs inner monologue? If talking to an AI is disruptive to the people around you, does mumbling all day to an AI disrupt your inner workings?
Weโve raised $1.3M from YC & Afore Capital so you never have to type or speak again.
Typing is slow. Talking into your computer is awkward. Subvocal fixes both
Our glasses give you the speed of speech without you making a sound or touching a keyboard.
It tracks your internal speech muscles with non-contact sensing and decodes silent, almost invisible mouthing into text at more than 200 words/min.
Pre-orders are now live at:

I ask this because my inner monologue is important when I write. It produces a steadier stream of organized thoughts and words on the page, or better code in the IDE, than what I see from the spoken word alone. That inner monologue gives me space to think through a concept before it is directly expressed on the page.
