Why do you refuse to tell the public the full truth about climate change?
The planet is hotter now than its been in thousands of years, carbon dioxide levels are higher now than in millions of years and rising.
We are in a drought which threatens food production on going.
Last year a leading scientist warned that Britain could now see extreme rainfall without much warning enough to wash away cars and homes.
They’re telling us that the collapse of human civilisation is on the horizon and you refuse to warn them about what’s coming. Why?

You rightly identify the Iran war as the latest global crisis driving energy price shocks, yet Trump has already posted to praise the Jackdaw decision. The very man whose illegal war is helping fuel this crisis is now celebrating your government's response to it.
Meanwhile, your government are delving deeper and deeper into fascism.
Political opponents, including @ZackPolanski, branded antisemitic for challenging Zionism, while we await the full report on proposals that risk turning our children's education into another political weapon to silence criticism of Israel and shield those, including yourself from charges of complicity in genocide.
This is the kind of manipulation of dissent, education and public debate that history should have taught us to recognise and resist.

I’m all for green alternatives. Any sane person is. However with how the world is going and with the restrictions and issues in getting supply (as a nation that sold off most its rights and imports most its energy)
There is no other choice here. Wait until you can’t get fuel or have no heating or the hospitals don’t have power.
That’s the kind’ve things governments have a duty to avoid as well as long term planning in terms of good and reliable renewables.
Normally, I would lambast you for poor policy decisions, but this is the right thing to do. So I welcome this news.
It’s not enough but it’s a start.
On environmental grounds alone this is the right decision. Shipping oil and gas around the planet or pumping it from another country from our own fields produces more CO2 than just drilling our own just off shore.
Now reopen Rosebank and lift the ban on more exploration and grant new licenses for further exploitation of our North Sea resources.
It will guarantee our energy security and finance our transition to renewable energy sources beyond unworkable solar or wind
