There is nothing socialist about a system of free movement that is used by multi-nationals to undermine wages. WATCH my Brexit speech today.

#LFC It was sad to see some people on here, and one I have always respected, saying Virgil Van Dijk at 35 needs to go and calling him a "clown", Every Liverpool great from Clemence and Alisson in goal to Barnes and Salah on the wing had some nightmare games but we accept that, it is part of being a "SUPPORTER!". We back them and go again, so many are just cry babies, just look at how McAllister was slaughtered last year, many just see what is in front of them and don't THINK. Why had his form dropped?, "his legs have gone!" the lad is just 27!, these fans have no empathy whatsoever, many are young lads, he had a new baby to deal with for example, they never look for reasons just blurt out inane comments! Rant over!

Fancy taking the mick out of the most successful British side in Europe. 6 UCL’s to your 1. 10 finals to your 2. City are a small club when it comes to Europe

Five games, five wins, top of the league. Manchester City, a fortnight after an independent commission found they systematically broke the Premier League's financial rules for nine straight seasons. So what exactly are we all watching? Not asking for the season to be scrapped. That's daft, and it punishes nineteen clubs who've done nowt wrong. But I'd like somebody at the Premier League to explain why the table at the top of every sports page is one they already know is wrong. Because here's where we actually are. The commission has ruled. City lodged their appeal on October 1st. No sanction has been announced. Nobody knows when it will be. Sky are reporting that Premier League clubs themselves don't expect City to even BE in this league next season if the appeal fails. And in the meantime, the league just carries on. Points are awarded. Positions are published. Clubs are planning January windows around a table that might be fiction. Think about who that actually hurts. Not City, they're fine, they're top. It's the club that goes down in May by two points and later finds out the table was never real. It's the club that sacks a manager in February over a league position that gets rewritten. It's the staff at a relegated club losing their jobs over a season nobody can stand behind. Real money, real people, decided by a table the league itself can't vouch for. And the bit that genuinely sticks in the throat. Everton got docked ten points, mid season, reduced to six. Forest got four. Both for single PSR breaches. Both punished DURING the season it mattered, so the table stayed honest. Eighty charges over nine seasons, plus thirty five for refusing to cooperate with the investigation into it, and somehow that one has to wait. Carragher's right. Do it this season. Whatever it is, apply it now, to this table, the way it was applied to Everton and Forest. Because every week this drags on, the Premier League is asking us to treat a standings table as real while quietly knowing it might not be. Due process matters and the appeal has to be heard, I'm not arguing with that. But there's a difference between due process and letting a club sit top of a competition for an entire season while the punishment for breaking that competition's rules sits in a drawer. The league's credibility isn't damaged by what City did ten years ago. It's damaged by what the league is choosing to do about it now. Nine seasons. Then three years of charges. Then a verdict. And still, somehow, nothing. Who's season is this, exactly? 🖤🖤 #PremierLeague #MCFC

🚨 Chris Kavanagh's controversial refereeing decisions: ❌ 2022: Rodri handball vs Everton, no penalty awarded. PGMOL later apologised. ❌ 2023: Ødegaard handball vs Liverpool, no penalty awarded. Howard Webb later admitted it was an error. ⚽ 2024: Stones' late winner vs Wolves, allowed despite Bernardo Silva being offside near the goalkeeper. ❌ 2025: Van Dijk's goal vs Man City — disallowed. Independent PL panel ruled it should have stood. 🟥 2026: Gravenberch sent off vs Man City.

Listening to these announcers orgasmically decribe the perormance (against a totally weakened LFC team btw) of city makes me sick. Hey guys.. they can perform like this because they have an all star team that been assembled through a more than decade of cheating. Of course the football is impressive… and should never be praised again. It should be always diminished…. just as nobody would speak of the Brilliant Billionaire Bernie Madoff … nobody should ever praise City. Quietly acknowledge the fooball sure.. but this effusive praise of city is sickening today. Even today, the arrogant in their celebration and clearly show no humility or acceptance that they are built of pillars of dishonesty, fraud and cheating. @ManCity @premierleague @LeeDixon @graemelesaux14 @JonChampionJC wake up guys and help protect the game you love. check yourselves.

Me estaba hablando a mí. Pero el mensaje era para el conductor. Me quedé en silencio, mirando el punto azul en el mapa.

Michael Oliver was the same referee who refused to give a penalty when Doku kicked Mac Allister. Coincidence? I think not.
Premier League referee Michael Oliver was allegedly paid £20,000 to officiate a single UAE Pro League match in Abu Dhabi in September 2023. He refereed a game between Sharjah and Al Ain alongside English match officials Darren England, Dan Cook, and Stuart Burt.

Imagine PL referees flying to America for a lucrative one-off game, then finding out their fee came from a company owned or controlled by John Henry. Then in their first game back in the PL a few days later they give the worst VAR decision of all time…against a rival team.

“The fasten seat belts sign is on”. This is a message I received early this morning from one of the UK’s most experienced, savvy and respected financial traders. Someone I have come to know and trust for the last 25 years. 10-year bond yields are now almost 4.5pc - up some 50 basis points over the last month. 30-year yields this morning went above 6pc - a 28-year high. Yet the UK’s political and media class continues to focus on party posturing and folksy rhetoric, ignoring the slow-motion disaster that has been happening on the UK’s sovereign bond markets for at least the last 18 months - a disaster that will inevitably, unless we drastically change course, turn into a fully blown market meltdown. At that point, the UK government won’t be able to borrow enough money to finance our already spiralling debt interest bill. Britain’s financial management will be taken over by overseas technocrats - that will be the condition of additional borrowing, to maintain the basic functions of the state, as happened in Greece and Italy back in the early 2010s and here in Britain 50 years ago this year (when we were forced in 1976 to apply to the IMF for a bailout). The austerity then imposed on Britain would make 2010-2019 feel like a picnic - far, far worse than it would be if we took serious action now to control our public finances. Lower-income households would suffer most - and there would be serious damage done to the UK’s already rapidly-fraying social fabric …. I have been warning about these looking fiscal dangers publicly, in my newspaper columns and elsewhere, since at least early 2024. Doing so hasn’t been easy or fun. I have been dismissed and derided by numerous economists, “economists”, officials and policymakers - as well as lots of journalists. I absolutely don’t want a disastrous 1976-style outcome - which is why I’ve taken the blows and issued the warnings. The state is too big. Public spending is out of control. Our fiscal rules are a convenient nonsense - designed to kick the can of financial reality into the future. We need to get real … and take bold action to tame the growth of spending, push back a now totally over-bearing state and snap the British economy out of today’s high-tax-high-borrowing-low-growth doom loop - the result of myopic, counter-productive policy-making by successive governments for the last decade and more … Other prominent economists who agree with me - ie who are financially-literate, can read a yield curve, have a passing interest in economic history and who understand the dangers of some 80pc of UK government borrowing going on debt interest as it currently is - need to chuck “career risk” in the bin, and start saying publicly what so many of them have, for quite a while now, only had the bottle to say to me in private … Remember: “The fasten seat belts sign is on”

Free schools posting brilliant GCSE results today. Elsewhere a third of kids still fail to get basic maths or English. The obvious fix? Roll out what the best schools are doing. Labour’s fix? Scrap 28 planned free schools. Never mind the children - feel the ideology.
Great stuff! 👇 Funny how all these warm/strict schools that focus on good discipline and traditional knowledge, get excellent results. Maybe our Eduction Secretary might take note.

Andy Burnham's intervention in the Manchester City affair was inappropriate, injudicious and badly, badly misjudged. It felt like a nod to the power of nation state ownership of English football clubs. It felt as if the Establishment was going in to bat for its buddies.
