A brief pilgrimage today to see the newly installed blue plaque for Christina Broom at her once home in Fulham. Thanks to the efforts of Dr Margaret Denny who made the application several years ago and to which I eagerly gave my support.
Thanks very much to @mikeyp4 and @RPShistgroup for the lovely review of 100 Photographs in The PhotoHistorian.

Happy birthday Kodak! I have been reliably informed by my t-shirt that it is 135 years since #GeorgeEastman patented the first Kodak roll-film camera alongside the hugely successful 'You press the button, we do the rest' slogan 📸 #kodak – at Paddington, London

Our pop up darkroom can be found in the Botanic Garden for #pinholecamera workshops on 19th August for #worldphotographyday. No need to book, just drop by between 10.30am and 3.30pm to try your hand at this very #analogue method of capturing light.

Today is the day!
We are tremendously excited that this evening at 9pm on BBC2 both the Hardman's House & our sister National Trust place in Liverpool, 20 Forthlin Road, the childhood home of Paul McCartney, will feature in episode 3 of Hidden Treasures of the National Trust. 1/4
Really glad I could attend tonight. @HilaryRoberts57 talking about her truly remarkable and unique career, @jo_gane about her fab practice and research to date, both reflecting on the memory, influence and friendship of the late, great Pete James. Very appreciated by all
Reflecting on a brilliant week away in Scotland with the family. Living off the landscape and experience for a while to come
Let's not allow this to go. Take a look

Delightful eavesdropping on train to Poole earlier this evening. Two teenage boys discussing photography, appreciating desire to work at it & not photographers overnight just cos they study it. Reckon they'll be alright going fwd, not taking naff photos of view thru train window
Early photographic processes, materials & inspiration powering in Oxford @bodleianlib from Anna Atkins cyanotype window displays to @jo_gane and her Talbot related cliché verre work, and so much more💪Well done to all involved
Just about recovered frm disappointment & hassle of yesterday's travel antics. Meant to be in N. Ireland, but having battling cancelled trains to Heathrow, plane then cancelled too with no alternative. Trip blown 😫
On + side, back with my boys. & squeezing in Oxford trip Thur
Very much looking forward to this. Historic & contemporary. A trip to N. Ireland this week (also exciting) means I'll have to keep waiting patiently though theguardian.com/artanddesign…
School's shut for both mine today. I did enjoy waking them. I'm definitely taking a lunch break & sliding to the park. Will be twice as thick as this from yesterday.
I'm marking 1 year (+ a day) working for @nationaltrust today with a trip to and from Tatton Park. Frequently cold but happy trekking
