Helping a person having a seizure 1. Lay the person down, on their side, head turned to help breathing 2. Ensure the person is breathing properly - loosen clothing around the neck (Remove eye glasses) 3. Place something soft under the head 4. Stay with the person until the seizure stops and they wake up 5. Do NOT: restrain the person or put anything in their mouth

Interesting talks about awake patients prior to LTx @EuroELSO .But what is ‘awake’ & ‘mobilising’?Do centres have set standards pre Tx from ECMO? Do patients need to be walking/standing or purely moving all 4 limbs in bed?Has real implications or rehab & listing. @TheACPRC

Day 3 at #EuroELSO2022. Presentations on weaning VV ECMO, the unweanable ECMO patient, and moving onto lung #transplant. Pros and cons all round, excellent discussion and food for thought. The more mobile on #ECMO to wean or transplant = better outcomes ✅ #physiotherapy #rehab
