Also was delighted to hear from @GaryWinslett from @Middlebury who spoke to the importance of tourism in #Vt. The professor highlighted the need for more housing, hotels and how #Vt needs to be more welcoming to businesses that are fueling our economy.

What a run of great weather. Mild for late October. fairbanksmuseum.org/eye-on-t… Good morning #Vt.
Great event! Well done Wardsboro. 👏
Vermont pride and one very famous turnip! Governor Scott stopped by the Gilfeather Turnip Festival in Wardsboro, where the community has celebrated its hometown crop since 2001.
Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and neighbors who keep this tradition going. Gatherings like this remind us what makes Vermont special and why keeping our small towns vibrant and affordable is work worth continuing with Governor Scott.

Earlier today, I met with legislative leaders to approve using additional money to help lower income Vermonters who rely on the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) to cover at least part of the cost of their heating fuel this winter.
This year, with the high cost of fuel, we know our LIHEAP funding isn’t going to go anywhere near far enough. I'm hopeful Congress will understand the urgency and do the right thing by increasing the funding for this program, which helps some of our most vulnerable Vermonters.
Working with students & #Vt sugarmakers on establishing a maple club at @Middlebury College. Great kickoff meeting. The sap will be flowing before you know it. Love to see the enthusiasm from students to learn about Vermont maple.

Peaceful morning but the days of early light are gone. Feeding the donkeys in the dark these days. Pleasant weather continues. fairbanksmuseum.org/eye-on-t…
No complaints. Past peak but soaking up last few days of the heifers in the pasture. Sparkling evening in mid October. #fall

We need more taxpayers, not more taxes. That’s why Gov. Scott has focused on real reform and targeted investments in areas like housing, public safety, career and technical training, and outdoor recreation and tourism to keep and attract people to support our economy. Governing takes hard, smart work - not gimmicks and more taxes.
