Time to reread this on how to utilize privateers to defend our financial industry from state-sponsored hackers
When it comes to security, 2025 is off to a terrible start for the crypto industry. Last week, Lazarus Group, a North Korean backed hacking group, stole $1.4bn from @Bybit_Official Exchange. This was the largest hack in the history of crypto. To find the solution to this problem, we must look to our past. A neo-privateer program, powered by “letters of marque and reprisal,” could arm the private sector to hack the hackers, retrieve stolen crypto and protect entrepreneurs. It’s time to turn predators into prey. See @giancarloMKTS and my thoughts in @Cointelegraph today: 🧵

I’ve spent the last 3 months pitching private credit funds.
It’s nothing like pitching equity investors as their economics are fundamentally different.
A credit fund’s upside is capped at its rate, say 15%. If it originates nothing for a quarter, that yield is gone forever. Time lost is money lost in its truest sense.
An equity investor’s upside is uncapped. They can sit out a full year and win it all back on one 30x deal.
Which is why credit funds don’t take meetings to just browse. They take them to write checks.
